Just because it doesn't happen in this 1 instance, it doesn't mean it never or rarely happens.
It is a """feature""" within his R to automatically attempt to place Yasuo away from turrets (only fountain laser is exempted from this """feature"""). A """feature""" that should've never been there in the first place as it breaks the basic design 101 of risk vs reward scale.
A spammable ulti of extreme value and of little to no CD WHILE procing from everything (just on Yasuo alone there are already 2 ways to proc it, the first one will eventually hit you via sheer inevitability because it's a spammable and fast skillshot that isn't blocked by anything that also has rather ambiguous hitbox, and the 2nd way of EQ'ing is literally undodgeable. And then it also goes off from every displacement in the fucking game, which the game is filled to the brim with) should NOT have ALSO turret dive immunity of any form just in case it isn't overtly OP enough or something, no matter how rare it comes up.
