Look at ADC gold and Support gold.
Can't buy cool gear when you are support. Even though the play can be engaging and fun (dueling, harassing, etc)

Most sups go tank, which is super cheap, if your trying to go a carry sup then your taking kills from your adc. If you die but give your adc a double kill bot then you did your job, gold is not of most importance.

I don't think the point is for us to get less gold, but in exchange for us getting less gold our lane partner gets more. Some people are just not used to shopping on a budget. A support budget.

balbraaksel1 votesIt really depends on the player that plays support and the champion he chose whether the support should take kills or not. Sometimes a support can kill independantly when the ADC's shopping at base, sometimes the support can APC which sometimes the team needs, the list goes on and on. Supports can be worth the gold too, some even can manage to carry and/or zone bot lane from CS.
However I think a support should try his best to have not more kills than half as much assists.

that is exactly what I am saying. This game is about getting more powerful and blasting noobs. yes, support can be fun in the nuanced play, but obviously support is less played for a reason. maybe 1/15 people are attracted to it. the game requires that 1/5 people be attracted to it.

and have as much gold as your 10-0-0 adc with decent farm. Gold is not the limiting factor for supports, they don't need cs or kills to get gold. The point of the game is to win, not to "blast noobs". if getting assists and warding is how you do it, that still leads to a win. get your teammates stronger and you will become more powerful.
Objectives over kills. Objectives win games.

you are the noob here my friend. playing support is about letting your adc blast noobs. and if you are struggling with g as a support you aren't doing it right. buy some gp5 runes and put some points in utility. if thats too much play someone less reliant on gold. i voli w/o support runes and masteries and just buy the starting runic shield item and never have g problems.

actually, GP had 2 gold items. he had avarice blade for a long time. and he had runic shield which he sold.
