New Champ Select Takes TOO Long

I don't know if its just me who thinks this but the new champion select takes way too long. Ive played two games now and everyone is waiting till the last second to lock in. That takes 5 mins 30 seconds because its 1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1 with 35 seconds each. While it used to be 1,2,2,2,2,1 at 35 seconds, which was faster. So this takes 5 mins 30 seconds and that's not including the champion you want to play hover, the ban phase and the minute after everyone's locked in. So it could take more than 8 mins to finally get into a game. My first game had 2 people dodge while at the last phase of champion select. So it took quite a while before I got into a game

I was just experiencing this. After a second dodged game, I came to boards to kill time. Seems like the ability of the players varies a lot more, too. Way more smurfs and scrubs.

[slayer-jinx-wink] honestly. really the thing you want to pick on is that riot finally made it so people can get the role they want in draft pick. made it so that people have more warning on what people want to play so people dont ban mains. they took the banning power and spread it rather than one person being the only person who does it. all these things take time to actually accomplish.

you want to pick on that all this taes time to actually do? if your worried about time please kindly play blind mode or aram or bots. draft and ranked require more than a bit of thinking to try and work together.

im not saying that they couldnt have a lock on feature during the deliberation phaze (everyone locks then move on) but making everything far easier to have less i didnt get my role so imma make your game hell people is fine by me.

Riot should make an effort to shorten the wait time in Draft Pick champion select, I spend on average 30 minutes waiting for a game and then another 30 to play in the game. It takes as long as the games! By the time I get into a champion select that nobody dodges, I end up with my secondary choice which is also a little unfortunate.

Not everyone wants a draft game experience. They have taken so many of the control points out of the players' hands with the removal of teambuilder. You can't control the character you play. You can't control the comp. You can go through 5 minutes of preparation, have everything all set and then someone leaves. There is a place for teambuilder in lol.

I agree that 20 minutes in the queue is terribly long but there are benefits that make it worth the wait.

I think the new queue system will get rid of most trolls allowing us to play a proper game for once and giving bronze players a better chance of moving up the ladder. no more arguing about who wants which lane, no more flaming in champion select.no more troll picks. The trolls will get impatient and quit and those who take the game seriously will enter into the match.

If you want to take the whole time to ban or think about your pick, great. I respect that. It's the people who want to hover fakers entire champ pool and then pick soraka at the last second that piss me off.

I'm not impressed you own zed,lb, and ahri. I'm not super mindgamed by the fact that you showed a mid champ pool for 34 seconds and then locked a support at the last moment. It's just wasting our time.
