Seriously do not understand the urge to rework Galio

His look is kinda old, yeah, but like so many other champions - not different from Morgana, for instance. His kit is very strong, very cool, and not so outdated. He doesn't suffer from new/old items change, can perfectly go on as always has. Pretty decent on nearly every game I meet one, if that someone has hands. Passive on fleek, for the position he covers in the map.

Seriously cannot find a reason why the rework was so urgent on Galio while we have people like Nunu or Udyr

but - hey - rito, right?

His kit is outdated, bland, and lacks a thematic fit. His ult is borderline useless for how easy it is to negate. His passive is a stat-check. That's just a few of the reasons.

But, hey, perspective, right?

Outdated? So Karma or Janna or Azir or Kassadin is outdated as well? Bland? How? :D And stop complaining about the thematic fit, it's ridiculous. Okay this game has lores and everything and champions are well designed and have personalities but really, a kit doesn't always fit a champ in anyway but the ones we give them. What should he do as a gargoyle? Flying? spit fire? come on. His ult if hit correctly there0s really nothing yo ucan do to dodge it, and that's not common. His passive, well, agree, but it's a good one.

But - hey - just saying.

How is Azir, a champion that quite literally came out 4 years after Galio comparable? The same goes for Karma, as her kit was reworked. With Janna, her kit isn't outdated, because it has lasted throughout the ages well. With Kassadin, his kit is just a mess.

Galio's theme is not a gargoyle. He is the Sentinel's Sorrow. An immortal protector, forced to watch as those around him eventually fall, despite his efforts to save them. How is that carried out in game? A ball of air, a speed up, a shield that heals him, and doesn't actually shield for anything, and an ultimate that prevents him from doing anything.

"His ult if hit correctly there0s really nothing yo ucan do to dodge it, and that's not common" Here is a link to a list of champions whose ultimates work similarly: Link

But, hey, I'm just saying.

His kit is confused. He's a melee ap burst/tank that has ranged harass with a health regen mechanic on W that scales with instances of dmg (most champs don't DoT) Lore is also lacking, it's basically "I protected my master and failed once so he died and I sat there until I got inspired by and indirectly followed Poppy to join the League."
He could be so much more.

Ekko ?

LostFr0st1 votes

Hardly. Every single one of Ekko's abilities interact with one another; Galio's do not (other that cast W before R for extra stat buffs).
