Kog'Maw Passive update???

Kog'maws passive doesn't really work as well as it used to, with most adcs having some escape (dash or increased movement) and assassins being able to take him down quickly with relatively no problem it is very hard to use the passive. Because he has increased range and he is a glass carry he doesn't want to be near the enemy anyway. Maybe instead of the passive being timed he could just be able to reactivate an ability... like sion.... and blow himself up, that way it makes is harder for assassins just to drop in on him and kill him.

If Kog could suicide to do a shit ton of damage, I would play him again

This was suggested years ago. A Rioter, Phreak I believe, said that it would 'lack counter-play'.

If Kog were to get his Passive altered, I would love something like-

Icathian Surprise: Kog'Maw's skills and basic attacks attach Void Spores to enemy units. Void Spores last 4 seconds, stack, and reapplication refreshes their duration. Upon expiring, Void Spores catalyze, dissolving the victim for (amount) True Damage per Spore. If an enemy champion is killed before the Void Spores expire, Kog'Maw is healed for (amount) per Spore and the cooldown on Bio-Arcane Barrage is refreshed.

Upon death Kog'Maw becomes untargetable, is unable to use skills or basic attacks, and gains 40% movespeed gradually. After three seconds he explodes in a cloud of Void Spores, infecting all enemy units hit with (number).

That would help patch up a few of Kog's crippling weaknesses while still leaving his core downsides intact.
