can someone help me understand the meta more?

as someone who mained adc the last 2 seasons and loved it, i find it hard to have a place in this meta, countless times i leave lane 6-0 or doing well and its like it dont matter, every champs damage is so stupidly high that i get one shot, you dont understand how many times i get completely 1 shot by a gp barrel, i need to play a new role and dont know what is good right now, it seems top and jg both impact the game well, and mid lane seems to be whoever gets ahead wins pretty hard in lane, do anyone have suggestions for me to do better in this current meta, looking for champs to play and maybe build advice for said champs.

I'd recommend waiting until after next patch before deciding if you want to leave the ADC role.

They are reducing damage amplification in masteries which should have reduce damage across the board.

This might be enough to stop you from being bursted down and one-shot.

yeah for sure, they need to find a way to balance the top and jg while giving indirect buffs to adcs to help them be balanced, the last thing you need is adcs 1 shotting again, its a very hard game to balance

ADCs don't really need buffs.

They just need games to last longer so they can actually get their items.

yup riot agrees with you, they seem to go after high scaling damage for non damage champions next. I hope it gets better then.

idk how they even let the game get like this, it was so good at the end of season 6 imo, everything was playable, i was playing a ton of mid and adc at the end of season 6 and both were so good, now it seems really rough

ADC is in a rough spot. I've actually gone back to maining jungle when I mained ADC in season 6. I've had the most success with long range ADCs like Caitlyn, Miss Fortune, Ashe, Jhin and Varus. Also, with tanks/divers being very powerful its almost a necessity to rush a last whisper 3rd item. Hopefully with the mastery changes ADC will become more viable.

i played a lot of hec and nocturne two weeks ago and was doing amazing but i dont get the same satisfaction
