Do Malzahar's Voidlings count as CS?

I've been laning against Malzahar and I was trying to kill his pets as fast as possible to get some gold and stop him from pushing me under the turret. So far so good, some bonus gold won't hurt but I am also trying to keep my farm high as in 200 creeps in minute 20 provided I don't die or I don't roam and I always check my farm to see how I am doing, and if the Voidlings count as cs then in that game I farmed really poorly because I had 56 in minute 7 and I killed a whole bunch of those crabs.
