Can anyone explain to me that how does match making work?

It doesn't work. It's based on ELO, which is for 1v1 game Chess, and this is a 5v5 game with tons of possible team compositions. And they favor fast queue time over fair matches, you'll get a quick game but your opponents skill level will be totally random and not likely the same skill as you, either way better or way worse.

The system basically takes they number of Wins vs the number of losses and the order in which they are achieved and uses that to calculate your Matchmaking Rating (MMR). This is based off of the old Elo formula, originally created for chess.

Although it was originally created for Chess, it has since been adopted to many, many team based games. College Football uses it in the BCS rankings, Pro American Football teams use it for Playoff Determinations, Draft Prospects, and Fantasy Draft websites, and FIFA uses it in its ranking system.

if you are on a winning streak the search parameters change from "closest MMR" to "highest report frequency".
