Thoughts on Season 7

Feel free to discuss your other thoughts about it as well.

Assassin reworks: Camouflage/invisibility: While it feels like they nerfed champions with camouflage its still pretty hard to spot them and their stealth doesn't break if you hit them with spells so you still won't see them unless you got a control ward, this makes it a bigger headache to find stealthed champions and invisible champions are now uncounterable which is great for them but worse for the people who have to deal with them and sweepers are pretty vague representations of where they are.

Leblanc: I LOVE the changes, she has wave clear now without the use of her ultimate, its amazing, sure her kit is delayed burst but she already has great sticking power and her sigil procs if you land her E or you can W then Q your targets. She requires a lot more skill now than pressing R Q to delete a target and its great. I have difficulty using her ultimate though because I am used to it mimicking the previous spell so I end up messing up which spell I want to use when I use it and I need a lot of practice to find ways to play mind games with people with her mimicked ult.

Talon: I never seen him once, he is either permabanned or not picked, I am going to take a stab at it and assume that although they removed his conditional % amplification, his burst has been increased to compensate a lot and now he is uncatchable to us border control to his enemies.

Shaco: He is still annoying and really hard to catch and always makes me cry when he ganks, I feel that even though they shifted a lot of stuff around his kit, he is pretty much the same except his ultimate has more utility than damage when his clone explodes but just like his previous version it either does something amazing or it ends up botched.

Katarina: Riot made her even more feast or famine and I really don't like her changes at all. Their whole speech about making her more consistent and not having to wait for the perfect moment to swoop in and get a pentakill was pointless because she still does that, except its more crazier. Her bouncing blade only hits three targets now and the daggers are pretty well telegraphed and easy to never get hit by her spin, so basically she gets two damaging abilities for most of the game until she gets her ultimate and shunpo doesn't deal that much damage. I think she is a lot more binary than ever before.

Zed: Spams CTR 6 and CTR 2 and CTR 4 as always

Fizz: HOLY SHIT HIS ULTIMATE GETS HUGE WATCH OUT WHEN PEOPLE FIND OUT ABOUT IT

Rengar: Feels similar, has evelynn like wave/champion clear, but he doesn't 100-0 people in .01 seconds as often as he used to

Akali: Her sustain is INSANE, she builds tanky and becomes unstopable, beware.

Twitch: While not an assassin rework I think the addition to making his W a poison cloud that dumps TONS of stacks is an enormous buff on him, he already was a strong assassin marksman, he now just got a whole lot smellier.

Vision Game:

I like Control wards, they are so useful and yet people are STILL not buying them!? Hello, please start buying vision items. Also Riot needs to give sight stones an increase on ward limits for supports because the vision game is still dreadful

Plants: Exploding plant is rarely used for plays and mostly used to hop over walls for jungling/roaming, it is really awkward to use it as a ranged attacker because most of the time you dont get close enough for the blast.

Honey plant people avoid it like the plague even though it tastes so good

Scry plant is super amazing, giving vision and sweeping out wards is super duper sweet

Items:

Edge of the Night: This item needs to calm down, a 10 second spell shield is way too long, I think it should last 2.5-5 seconds max or be an instant spell shield like sivir or nocturne, assassins are supposed to be skillful, 10 seconds is extremely long for them to do anything they need to do.

Locket: It has no aura but a 665 HP shield at 18 for all allies is REALLY strong

Redemption: This item is highly overrated, people read the words nearly global, true damage, and castable when dead and instantly think its the best item in the game ever and will rush it like there is no tomorrow, and most people waste its active all the time. 10% max hp sounds like a lot, but its not that much damage for it to be useful enough as harass because squishy targets won't take much damage from it and tanky targets have more than enough hp to spare. I think the heal is great, but the problems with this item are the delayed reaction and the telegraphy of it. A lot of people do not make any efforts to step in or out of the circle, and a lot of times the cast time is long enough for people to step out of the circle or die before the heal hits them. The other problem is the stats it offers outside of its active are horrible for the cost.

Mikaels: People need to buy this item more often, giving anyone a movement speed boost and slow immunity is amazing, not to mention it doesn't have a delayed active anymore, its amazing!

King's Vow: I'm not that impressed with this new item, I see the cool potential it has, but the amount you deflect/heal isn't that amazing and neither are the stats it offers in exchange for another item slot such as Locket. You would have to deflect/have your ally deal 6,650 damage to make it be as useful as the locket, and usually your marksmen are way dead before that happens.

Masteries: Lots more damage potential, Green Father's Gift is not impressive just like Ivern, Courage of the Colossus is a big problem keystone because of the potential it has.

Meta Problems: In case you haven't had a glimpse of it yet, the tank assassin/unkillable juggernaut meta is creeping back in. There are a lot of cases where assassins will build tanky, still have a great amount of penetration and ad/ap, and will still delete you while you can't back talk your way through them. Then there are unkillable tank problems like VOLIBEAR who gets now a huge shield when he flips his victims and can 1 v 4 the enemy team with just HP items like Olaf used to do before he got olafd. The assassin tank meta is a pain in the butt, brace yourselves.

I doubt anyone read any or most of this but thanks for visiting.

I do not like control wards. It is nerf to vision wards as invisibility became even more powerful. Camouflage is annoying, but it never was big issue. Invisibility is as there is no counter to it. You have to guess where enemy is with skill shot.

I do not like buff on assasins as it is defacto nerf on tanks and supports. Again. Apparently Riot staff share the common hatred and despise of supports really abundant in community. They are 2nd rank losers when you look how Riot handles then. The champions which were game changers in the past get buffs as Riot wants stupid game play to win instead of intelligent tactics.

The other problem with buffing assassins is that it brings out the tank meta.

Shaco is far worse off. His passive actually guarantees that you do LESS damage when attacking from behind if you build crit at all. Also auto-attacking from behind doesn't count toward thunder lord's proc. Early rank Q duration needs to be up'd and guaranteed crit restored. Finally, E feels meaningless for 90% of the game. They did a terrible job on Shaco and need to revert these changes immediately.
