To Play Ranked or Not

For the most part, I've stayed away from Ranked play. Part of it is because I don't really want the game to be "work" and I feel like Ranked would take away the fun aspect of the game. Most of it is because I don't think for a moment that I'm even good enough to seriously consider playing competitively. I probably spent the first four months playing Bots exclusively and it wasn't until March that I finally surpassed Normal games played over Bot games played.

Because I like keeping tabs on my performance, I'll just share some compiled stats.

I think I have enough games under my belt to confidently state I'm not someone you want in a Carry role. Unless the Jungler plans to Carry, you don't want my passive playstyle in Top or Mid lane. ADC... well at least I have pretty skins.

I only have 32 champions after 10 months of gameplay. I've been sinking IP into rune pages and runes, since I don't have enough time to play all the champions I do have. I don't really think of myself as any particular champion's main, but I'll throw down some numbers on the top 25% (which obviously won't include any of my Marksmen).

I know that's some low % on Sejuani and Lux. Lux was my first choice mid laner, so she wracked up quite a bit of losses. Running her Support, I actually have Lux with a 58% Win Rate over 43 games. Sejuani was my second jungler and the only reason why I stuck with it. Nidalee was my first and well... can't carry so she was useless almost all the time. Learned more about jungling with Sejuani than I ever did with Nidalee. In truth, I probably would have my Jungle stats over 50% by now if I actually got the role more often (draft pick loves keeping me support).

Some of these are the same as before, but the new champs here are reaping the benefits of lessons learned when playing their predecessors. I think the biggest thing I noticed that helped me win games was watching this number.

A lot of these are not as high as I want them to be, but I rarely lose games when I have a KDA of 3 or more. I'm not saying avoiding fights, because that doesn't get you anything. It's more of a sense of what fights are worth fighting, what fights can be won and avoiding pointless deaths.

But anyways... maybe after a 1000 games I will try it out. I don't know. It's not like I have an outstanding win rate.
