I think levels, gold, and item power snowballing is way out of hand.

In my opinion as a two month player of this game the best part of the game is the lower levels 1-8. The reason is that during the low levels the game is purely about 1v1, or 2v2 skill until jungle ganks happen in lane. During this time there is great counter play available. Every second is tense, and every trade is exciting.

Later on as you begin to snowball everything becomes less exciting and much too easy.

If you are a good player and you see the enemy is two levels lower than you it's basically a free kill unless they seriously outplay you.

But when team fights happen and your teams levels, gold, and items outscale the enemies it's about gear, stats and much less about skill.

I think I would much rather enjoy a pure skill game all the way through then one where snowballing has such a dramatic and even unstoppable effect.

I think the Snowballing effect is a left over from MMO's that League of Legends should tone down. It sucks when you see two great Professional E sports teams go head to head and one team got a few lucky early kills and after fifteen minutes the other team has no chance to showcase their own skillset because the power scaling is so out of hand.

Especially with Attack Damage Carries good god what nonsense they are. ADC's are like the chosen ones, the elite few, the super race at end game. Having such operpowered God like ADC's in the game make the other four players feel a lot less useful, and effective end game no matter there skill level.

What do you think? Would you rather a game where Champions scale more evenly? A game where xp levels, and item power spikes aren't so brutal to contend with if you are behind? A game where skill can sway the difference, and a game where strong tactics can sway team fights even if you are behind in xp, gold, and items?

i think you misunderstand this gold is an actual representation of your teams overal power, also lvl's come wiith gold most of the time

on the other hand tea mwith less gold isnt totaly neglected into being weaker, since we can make mistakes they can capitalize on

I think I would much rather enjoy a pure skill game all the way through then one where snowballing has such a dramatic and even unstoppable effect.

and thats how it works you show signs of skill and you get rewarded for it, but even with this reward an enemy who just outplays you can defeat you

snowballing is the reward for skill, but skill can win vs a snowballing enemy

No this is wrong. In my opinion, league does not snowball nearly hard enough anymore. as it is right now, 1 person can completely screw over your team, but 1 person cannot solo carry unless they are insanely fed on a carry champ and have a higher skill level then the other people in the game. Riot have hit snowballing mechanics so hard so many times since season 3, another attempt to reduce it would be a MASSIVE mistake.

I don't misunderstand anything. Gold is a statistic for how much gold you have earned. XP generates your stats. And Items increase stats and give passive and active abilities. I think you misunderstand it. Gold is meaningless until spent, other than having the misfortune of increasing your reward value.

So basically you want a game where if we've been pub stomping you 50 kills to 5 and we knocked down all your towers and even our support is out farming your adc you want everything to be entirely even? That's ridiculous. It is a game based off skill. It takes skill to contest dragon, to out farm your opponent, to siege a tower... All of that. Even if you're behind you can still turn the game around with a well orchestrated play.

League has less individual snowballing but more team snowballing.

Other MOBAs have more individual snowballing but less team snowballing, because champs/heroes hit their cap earlier so even if you were snowballing, the other team can turtle and eventually come back.

I think the changes to Baron made it so that teams snowball even harder now, since Baron is now a much larger threat to defensive teams.

Also, team comps. If you drag the game out long enough, even a 4/5 item Vayne/Malphite/Yasuo/Nami/Ryze comp will delete a 6 item team comp that 1. doesn't have Master Yi, Zed or Fizz 2. has 2-3 people get caught in a Malphite/Yasuo ult. For example, a Pantheon/J4/Annie/Cait/Thresh comp has a very hard time beating that comp once late game hits, despite their early game dominance, because no one can touch Vayne through all that peel and they don't have as much hard AOE engage as Malphite/Yasuo/Nami.
