Matchmaking is BS

I know that this is just my two cents on the matter but I am so tired of being matched with players 1-2 tiers above me. I am gold 5 which means i should be matched against other golds, at the very max gold 1, never plat-diamond which I am matched against on a very regular basis. If I ever play a game, even in normals with another one of my gold friends we are pretty much guaranteed to have at least 1 high tier plat-low diamond player in the game, I just simply do not see how this is fair. I understand that you have an advantage with having players in a party, but if it isn't a duo bot lane I feel like the advantage is extremely minimal. I would much rather be matched up against another duo in gold then plat-diamond players. I am well aware of the arguement. "if you play against better people, then you will get better". This is only true to a point, its really frustrating when I want to try a new champ in normals but get destroyed by a plat-diamond player on their main. This should really be something that Riot takes an interest in. Honestly it rarely happens in ranked, but in normals it is a plague.
