is it just me or all the recent champions that are coming out are getting more boring by the time
in my opinion just champions get worse and worse every time, it feels like riot isnt trying to make unique champions anymore.

Yeah I agree they all have super overloaded kits and can fulfill way to many roles. They need more Jannas and less Tahm Kench
Janna is 10x more op than Tahm.
I don't know what people are expecting from new champions other than a new playstyle. They aren't supposed to flip the entire meta upside down on release (besides thresh)
new champs are fun and interesting. at least riot's exploring new territory by embracing a jungling marksman

Well there are what? 120+ champs? Kinda hard to make each one innovative and fresh. What they should do is make them all thematically unique and a little less all-encompassing. The new champs all seem to be built intentionally to have an answer for everything and to be able to do a LOT. This invalidates the champs who only really do one thing. It also makes them prone to being spammed in every game. After all, not even comp needs a super-peel champ like Janna or a balls-in aggressive champ like Leona... but Thresh can do both of those things and respectable damage besides. Therefore, Thresh is a far better pick in games where you're not playing for a very specific comp (aka EVER solo queue game ever).
My making new champs more specialized... they'd dominate the pick rates less. Of course, if EVERY champ ends up overloaded as heck that will solve the problem too... but then every champ will feel very much the same. It's already kinda happening.
How are they not unique?
Tahm kench, Ekko, and kalista are all pretty unique... Actualy nearly all of the new champs. the last uoriginal one i can think of is Velkoz.
