Official Buff Nasus thread
Greetings, I come here with a proposal to bring back a beloved champion to the game. ** -Oh Fuck no, I don't want to see that dog ever again** It's not about what you want to see or not, it's about making this game balanced.

I'd agree with that if the Wither nerfs were the only thing that kept him from being good. Let's see, what was the reason why
was picked so often despite his lack of bullying potential in the meta of

, lifesteal quints and his first big item he'd be able to farm forever,
gave him MR as well a boost to his healing, and
shut down auto attackers in combination with his Wither as well as giving a lot of armor and mana and both added a nifty 20% cdr to boost his q stacking
How many of these things that made him safe were nerfed?

Yep,
nowadays has to build an extra item in order to hit 40% cdr or run cdr glyphs which puts him at disadvantage against AP, and this extra item delays his biggest power spike, a
, either by taking up space and gold that could be used for the
pieces. A lot of people try to skip getting 40% cdr because it's just such a pain.
So nerfing his lifesteal, lifesteal quints and
weakened his early game by a lot.

Yeah that disgusting slow Back in the days you could wither an adc and their damage output would decrease by a lot and so would their mobility, also you could ensure they'd get permaslowed even if they kept distance due to Fury of the Sands boosting Wither's range, but now Wither's range got nerfed and the range boost from Fury of the Sands got completely removed, so now he can't safely keep an adc out of battle forever. ** Well that's good, now he can't completely negate a person from a really safe distance.** Except right now it's too dangerous to use.
How come?
Wither's range is too low, getting into range to Wither a good adc is near impossible with a competent support beside them, not to mention if the support has
or the Adc has
Wither gets completely negated. People complain about wither being a permaslow but let's see the facts here:
At max rank Wither has an 11 second cooldown and lasts for 5 seconds.
With 40% cdr the cooldown is 6,6 which does seem like a permaslow, but if the adc has a
you basically commited into killing him by getting into range to wither him just for him to use

Now you're under 6.6 seconds of focused fire by an adc in the middle of the enemy team as a completely immobile champion, your job was to neuter the adc for a few seconds and you couldn't do it. Not to mention that due to how armor penetration works and all the buffs to adc itemization, you won't survive more than a
diving into a 1v5, nowadays Assassins are safer in the middle of the enemy team and accomplish more than a tank or bruiser and sure you can take an awkward angle and try to do the job anyways but it's not a reliable initiation and if you get caught you die anyways.

Sure, but the problem is without that, you're even less mobile, your damage just isn't big enough to teamfight, and it's barely big enough to do an extended duel with a bruiser who had a better early game and most of the time the enemy escapes with their superior mobility. You're split pushing, then

just pushes the wave in a second and flies away to mid to help his team, you wasted more time than him pushing and accomplished nothing, and trying to duel him will be hard due to how slippery and tanky he is. And split pushing is all
can do in his current state.

You can always peel for your adc**
Right now the champions that jump on ad carries have too many escapes in the shape of dashes and burst that isn't negated by attack speed slows, there isn't much you can do when
jump and instagib your adc and then flash jump into wraiths.

and is challenger tier, it doesn't make Gangplank a good champion by any means.
So what would you suggest?
As much as I'd like lifesteal buffs, he just shouldn't have them. He should remain as a weak early game champion that can be bullied out of lane.
I'd suggest giving
20% cdr again but that can probably be abused by other champions, I would really like to see this change happen though.
But ideally I'd like for Wither's range to be buffed back to 700 or at least make it so the range increases with each point in Wither so it goes 600/625/650/675/700. You can keep the Fury of the Sands nerfs.
