"Bronze, Silver, and Gold are the same." quote
I've heard this a few times and wanted to voice what I think (because I disagree). Here's my take on what it means to be bronze, silver, or gold:
Bronze: You're new, and you know your team is bad, but you don't know why they're bad in confident detail. Even worse, you're always focusing on them, and not your own mistakes. You even make your own mistakes over and over again, and aren't learning from them properly. You know little about what every champion in the game is capable of. Finally, you refuse to accept that you belong here for some reason. Maybe you constantly expect having an outstanding kda with master yi and end up feeding, or you don't understand what items you should be building in specific situations. You're struggling to grasp improving on league of legends. You're also toxic as hell, and would never buy a pink ward.
Silver: You understand that you're bad, but you still look over at someone else's mistakes and are happy to say how badly they didn't do this or that instead. You make mistakes frequently, but can acknowledge almost all of them. Your champion knowledge is decent, but you're still struggling to play around a lot of match-ups. You're missing mechanics that allow you to play effectively. You've begun the very first steps of becoming a player with a solid talent, attitude, and intelligence for the game, though you have a lot to do, and a lot of practice to develop.
While I'm not Gold tier, rather Silver 1, I wanted to give a shot on how being a gold player might be different from the other tiers.
Gold: Your knowledge of the game is solid, and are familiar and experienced with key concepts of the game. You know how to react in a given situation, but more importantly you react on what you know to be more than evident. You can almost always handle yourself without relying on someone else. If you were placed in a lower tier, your team can count on you to play your role effectively, and making a large beneficial impact on the game, maybe even carry it alone. If someone else is about to make a mistake, you can immediately recognize it and quite possibly prevent it if they are willing to listen, or if the situation can still be helped. You know almost exactly how to build given most ranked game situations. You've moved past flaming in a significantly large amount of your games. You're the one, or one of the few, making the pings necessary to win. Your champion knowledge is understood at a basic level, but you just can't quite defeat your counters. Finally, you feel the right to feel acknowledged of at least half of a badass because you're gold, whatever that means for you.
Did I miss anything? What do you guys think makes the players in each tier different, if anything?
