Why Ziggs being playable bot is a good thing

Ziggs being playable bot is good because it gives the bot lane carry and teams more options of Champions as a whole. If the bot lane carry is AP then that means mid or top or jg or any combination of the three can pick AD Champions without worrying about creating a full AD team comp. By allowing a position that has almost always been AD to be something else, there is an opportunity for new legitimate team comps to pop up, especially if more mages are found to be viable bot or made so.

Meh. Compositions heavily biased towards physical damage dealers are already super-easy to maintain, due to abundance of armor reducing effects.

If botlane Ziggs starts to cause any problems, this isn't any meaningful argument for keeping it a viable playstyle.

Also there's Corki to fill niche of botlane magic damage source, without potential toxicity that mage's kit brings to 2v2 lane.

I miss the good old days of Season 3 when there used to be a support role -.-

Riot is already planning on nerfing it.

Ziggs generates some problems with being played bot lane, though. Specifically in why that pick is played. Why is because the bot lane turret is butter and Ziggs can shove it down in just a couple of waves with his powerful turret taking skills (immensely good pushing, the passive hits turrets like a particle going near-light speed in the Hadron Collider, and his W executing them once they're below 25-35% health depending on rank). Now, I think that Ziggs and other AP champions being played bot lane as carries could be an interesting way to spice up the game and overall good for game health, however, the cause of Ziggs being played there now is the same as the cause of the bot lane party META we're in, and the cause is a very glaring issue and is something that I'm highly surprised hasn't been fixed yet: Fortification. In case you didn't know, turrets have a buff on them called Fortification, which significantly increases their armor and magic resistance, making them near impossible to take, before the 8 minute mark. At the 8 minute mark, Fortification deactivates. When Riot introduced the turret first blood, they also made bot lane's outer turret specifically no longer have Fortification, meaning that it's now about as easy to take as a turret can possibly be, even in the early game. Someone like Jinx could have your turret dead if you simply base and don't push the wave into the enemy team's turret and/or kill her first. Ziggs does the same thing, but a lot faster. As such, why Ziggs is being played bot lane is to either force a party in the early game or to get an early turret first blood for his team (because we can guarantee that turret will be gone in just a few waves if he pushes it in without someone actively clearing the wave faster). I do feel like Ziggs could use a targeted nerf as well because he's doing the same thing in mid lane, where the enemy turret has Fortification, but bot lane turrets definitely need their early armor and magic resistance back.

I agree, Ziggs bot is a nice answer for variation, but not to be confused with as a definite solution.

Corki has been the answer to this concern for years.

Ziggs bot is a thing because of the weak turret, but you guys have also been complaining about turrets being too weak

So which is it, do you want Ziggs bot or do you want better turrets?
