Dat Yasuo doe

stomped ur ass·2/5/2015, 3:20:07 PM·1 votes·906 views

I've been playing a bit of Yasuo and I'm having trouble surviving in teamfights. Yasuo is just super squishy.

My laning is fine--depending on who I'm laning against.

For example: Zed is an easy match up (Until he hits lvl 6) Syndra is a fair match up. Zilean.. makes me cry everytime. Akali... who am I kidding, you will never see Akali in normal draft/ranked Katarina is fair. Xerath is pretty easy

Thats pretty much all mid laners I have faced so far.

But yeah, my teamfights are horrible! I need some tips.

Even though I can make individual plays--get triple kills by myself-- so my mechanics are pretty decent.

I just instantly die in teamfights before being able to do anything for my team

try a doran shield early game or 1 doran blade. maybe get like 1 armor quint with half of your seals as hp per lvl. the extra 120 hp or so you'll have might give you enough time to reach

You can try asking your teammates to pick a champion that has good synergy with Yasuo, like Vi, Malphite, Wukong, Nami or Alistar. Once they initiate with a knock up you can follow up with your ult.

one of my favorite things to do is bait enemies near drag pit and the q dragon. he will send out his knockup waves and you'll get a good 2-3 man ult easily.

Depending on the game state and enemy team comp, I will usually build either a Bloodthirster or Maw as my 4th item after boots, shiv, and IE. Otherwise, your only defense is pretty much player skill/mobility(E) and windwall.

Yasuo tends to get focused because he is squishy, extremely vulnerable to CC, and a late-game monster when fed. I've also found he is an incredible split-pusher; able to push lanes almost effortlessly with his E-Q combo. Even superminions require only a few strikes of his sword. So if you're getting focused by a team that stays in a tight ball, you might be better off split pushing while the rest of your team defends. Just remember to keep good map awareness so you don't get ganked while pushing lane.

If your team is ahead, then you should pretty much be having your way with them. But assassinating the carries is usually a good choice. If you ult into the scrum to give out the Last Breath armor shred, then use Windwall to zone off the carries for a short time, drop a few AAs or Qs, then Dash/move out of range.

Above all, stay mobile. For Yasuo, mobility is life. And stay the hell out of Zed or Veigar's ult/stun range. Both of them will easily 100-0 you every time unless you have QSS.
