I was recently banned for 2 weeks, after receiving a 50-game chat restriction.

I was given the chat log that issued the 50-game chat restriction and the 2 week suspension:

Here are some chat logs from those games played that were negative. These are only a few of many chat logs that displayed negative behavior. Please know that this suspension is a warning before a possible permanent suspension.

This type of behavior is not acceptable and is why the suspension was placed. When there is nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. If you do not show any tendency toward improving your behavior, you may see harsher punishments.

From 1:18 - 1:33, I tried to let the team know that if Shaco does not do well in the early game, we can't rely on him for ganks. I also stated that we should try and make sure that Shaco is able to do well in the early game to avoid any

at 1:43, the Shaco calls me a douche for saying what I previously said.

From 4:07 - 4:31, There was a fight that broke out near Shaco. Shaco could have easily stopped farming to engage in the fight and would have given our team an advantage, but he chose not to follow up. So I simply told the shaco that he should just follow up next time.

From 9:22 - 9:37, The Shaco makes a misplay while we pinged him several times to back off. So I stated that he's doing from bad to worse.

From 11:20 - 11:52, The shaco stops cooperating with the team and refuses to help us and is being a bit toxic. So I state that this is most likely the last ranked game i'm playing during the pre-season.

From 13:15 - 13:43, The shaco makes another misplay after we warned/pinged several times. The team begins to complain about he isn't helping the team win the game and that he needs to listen and cooperate with the team. So I simply complain a bit.

From that point on, the shaco feeds and proceeds to afk. The whole team is complaining about how he literally just fed the enemy team and just proceeded to afk. The team and I also let the enemy team know about his actions so that he could be reported and given a punishment.

Apparently, Riot established a reformed way of punishing players that afk and negatively impact other player's games. So the whole team and I just stated that his actions will lead him to a ban and that we aren't too worried about losing this game because the new system will be able to punish him more efficiently than the old one.

The funny thing about this is that I'm the one who resulted getting banned. Riot says that this game is what led to my punishment. I understand a chat restriction as a punishment, but I was actually punished with a chat restriction and a 2 week suspension from the game.

They claim that this is one of the few games that represent a "banworthy" case. They have not replied to my last message, so I'm posting my conflict here. My goal is to see what the community thinks about this chat log and if it was banworthy or a simple chat restriciton.

I also would like to see my other chat logs that resulted in my ban because this chat log isn't a really good representation of a ban worthy offense. Maybe my other games represent a more qualified banworthy offense.

I already posted this, but since no one seems to be paying attention to it, so I'll post it here.

Edit:** (Already been posted) I know that there must be a reason I was banned for and I don't doubt that I deserved the ban. But the chat log that was presented to me does not justify my 2 week suspension.

Accumulated reports and aggressive toxicity is what results in a 2 week suspension. Like I have stated before, I do believe I deserved a 2 week suspension from the game.

I just want to see a chat log that actually represents a more valid reason.

Note: From what I have researched on the old forums and from my own experience, Riot does not ban anyone unjustly. There's always a valid reason behind a ban. I just want to find THAT reason in order to protect and prevent my account from getting punished again.**

In my honest opinion, at first it was no big deal. I mean, I know Riot bans people for talking back/defending themselves against people being toxic, but in my opinion asking why your teammates called you a name is a fair question. Up until that point you had yet to actually say anything rude or mean to anyone.

From there you spiral pretty hardcore. I doubt this behavior is full ban worthy, but something definitely needs to change to prevent you from spiraling. At least from this chat log, you deserve a chat restriction at most...if even that.

Perhaps get into the behavior of just not responding once the chat spamming starts. Or mute all the people! Not sure. I have a tendency to follow the same path of responses you gave when things go awry and people start the blame game/toxicity - the way I've been stopping myself has been realizing I've invested too much time and money into my account, telling off a couple of idiots is in no way worth me losing any kind of access to my account. Plus I get to report them and say nasty and mean things in the dialogue box. >:D

People are sensitive babies in this game, it's something we have to put up with since Riot takes the side of the troll over the people actually trying.

I have a similar problem. I was also suspended for 14 days for chat that doesn't warrant 14-day suspension. Riot Lyte said himself they hand them out for racist, sexist, or homophobic slurs or death threats. Neither of us have any of those. I also then put in a customer support ticket and they ended up just ignoring me. I hope we can both get some public exposure.

Since you offered a play-by-play, here's one:

From 9:34 to 18:56 (more than nine straight minutes), you berate and badger your teammate, primarily using passive-aggressive tactics.

You seem to move on after that, until from 20:53 to 22:56 (another two minutes, and the last two minutes of your chat!), you go back to doing the same thing.

All told, that's eleven minutes out of what appears to be a 22 minute game.

You literally spent half of your game berating another player.

It's certainly punishable. Whether it's ban-worthy is for Riot to decide, as it always has been.

i don't know exactly how "toxic" you need to be to get either a chat restriction or a 2 week suspension, but i've seen a Lytesmite so i should be able to pick out (will bold the words) some things that might have resulted in punishment from that game. please correct me if i miss something or if something is bolded that shouldn't be.

this game is actually pretty tame compared to what i saw in the Lytesmite. the quantity of comments might actually be more of a factor than the content(% of game talking). what i see is calling someone bad and threatening to report them/trying to get others to report them. calling someone bad seems pretty minor compared to racial/homophobic slurs, etc.

ban worthy is part quantity not just quality. You assume that this is rare behavior for you, when most of the time the people that post about bans is their NORMAL behavior. Obviously this is just your chat and i can not tell what actually happened in game ( i will not trust your inscription of it) so i must just use the chat.

You chat to much. You also come off needy demanding special attention from the jungler cause you picked badly. If i was in that game you would already be putting me off as the jungler. Your one of those guys, those that would of won if X did or did not happen.

A player calls you a douche but why? What in game is your behavior at 1 43 is pissing off the other players.

From what i am seeing I would hope you get perma banned or you change your attitude cause i would not want to play with you just from this chat.

Banworthy depends on other actions, but after seeing this I would not be upset to see you were banned. Regardless of the shaco, if someone were doing this in my game it would ruin it for me.

No one wonders why I got reported, it is pretty obvious why I got reported. The topic is if it was ban worthy or not.

This also is irrelevant. From the looks of it, you're attacking me and also instigating an argument.

Vague point. What are you talking about? "...Shaco was going at you"? You're points are not well written and don't provide much context/reasoning.

Yeah, all your comments have really negative connotation. No one asked for special attention. I simply stated that I might need help. As a matter of fact, I didn't even need help. I won my lane and the ryze actually complimented me on my game play.
