Runes for TOP

Put flat armor yellows, scaling magic resist blues, and then change the quints and reds to match whichever champion you're using. Each of those champions would benefit from different runes given different match ups. Basic set ups would be Flat AD quints and reds for Renekton, Darius, and Poppy, Flat AD quints and Armor pen reds for Garen, Attack Speed Quints and AD reds for Yasuo, Armor Quints and Magic penetration or dual penetration reds for Malphite. You can put movement speed quints on Poppy, Garen, or Mundo. Cooldown reduction quints and armor penetration reds for Nasus, or Lifesteal quints on him, or Dual penetration reds on him. I would suggest just looking up highly ranked players that main whatever champion you want to play and see what rune set ups they use.

The best thing to do is to experiment and figure out what works best for your playstyle. Runes are best when optimized around both a champion and a playstyle after all.
