I've been in several games where we couldve came back but my team didnt want to make the effort to come back. My last game had a team who said 'they have the lead gg' then all 4 proceeded to surrender. We didnt even have our tier 3 towers down yet and it is just frustrating cause I cannot do anything about it.
So would it be smart to take the surrender option off ranked or at least make it so all 5 have to agree to surrender?

I had one game where i was fed and able to take on 2-3 players and at there outer inhib tower destroying it while they only taken our first outer towers. As i was taking the tower my team forfeits and said it is a lost game because they lost there lanes......
Frozen Days3 votesYeah man that must've sucked! It is totally wrong for teammates to have the option to end the game and throws are bound to happen. I've been in games where a 20k gold lead was thrown due to long death timers.

What gives you, a single person, the right to decide that four other players HAVE to stay in the game and play with you or be punished? That is what is wrong with the voting system right now, it shouldn't even require four, it should only require 3. That way a duo queue can't hold the rest of the people hostage. Its where some of the most toxic behavior happens. Or, they could make it so if a surrender vote fails, you are free to leave with no leaver penalty and your team gets a bot to replace you. It probably has a better attitude than the leaver anyway.
Frozen Days3 votesBecause in solo queue, a comeback is always possible. Some people actually play to win and gain elo as opposed to giving up so easily, you would be surprised sir.
AMYS GRAVE2 votesThe comebacks are real. If you have a winners attitude, you can pull through otherwise lost games just by taking it to 60 minutes and getting one good engage. People like that are plat+ where quitters are silver/bronze.

The only thing that you do is intentionally create a loss for your team. I believe the category "assisting enemy team" comes to mind in this case.
This is ranked. Play to win or play normals. You are wasting the time of players who want to win by quitting. I'd rather play the game to 65 instead of 45 and win than surrender at 30, wait 10 for a new game to start, and start the whole process over again. If you don't have time, then finish the game. It takes less time than quitting.
If the game is truly lost, you will lose. End of story.

We have different mindsets. Mathematically, surrendering and moving to a new match with better odds will earn you rank quicker than dragging out a loss. I'd rather accomplish my goal quicker than drag my heels. You'd rather stop and smell the roses(which are full of Hecarim shit). Enjoy, but I'm still going to throw up surrender votes to try and accomplish my goal as quick as I can..
Maximum Morde1 votesJust because its possible to win doesn't mean you will. In fact, if you've got people throwing up surrender votes, they are already in the mindset for losing. The game is pretty much over. It is only rarely going to come back around. Some of us only have limited time to play and I for one would rather get into a new game with a new team ready to win, than sit in a game with people who just aren't in it.
