Hextech Gifting?

I was wondering if there had been any thought for (or if I'm just stupid and there already is) a system for gifting friends skins and whatnot from shards you get through hextech crafting. I mostly play league with 2 other friends and I've gotten plenty of skin shards for camps they play and my friend who's a support main (with myself the adc) has even gotten a Pulsefire Ezreal skin shard. Of course there's always the worry that people will start using this to make money in some similar situation to the CS:GO weapon skins, but it's just very frustrating when you get a skin shard you know your friend would love and you couldn't care less for and all you can do is reroll or disenchant it.
