Does Vi really need nerfs?

I won't pretend to be an expert in the jungle meta. However, it would seem that Vi's strength is relative to the changes of other junglers. Vi has fluctuated between being a God tier pick, and being a lower tier pick as the jungle changes. Just seems to me that what we need are buffs to other champions and not nerfs to strong ones. This applies to a lot of other champs too, which have seen nerfs because they've become strong relatively.

In all honesty, I don't think the nerfs are even that hard. Their is a damage nerf to her Ult in the early levels, (but you don't use you ult for the damage anyway.) She might have a slightly slower clear, solely by virtue of having the slower Movement speed.

But the core Balancing points of her kit (damage, defenses, resources) are unchanged.

Actually the movespeed nerf is really good. A tank jungler with that much mobility should not have 350 ms.

She isn't a true tank.

She's a fighter/assassin bruiser. She is supposed to be mobile and fast, but at least her mobility isn't at ridiculous levels.

She's a fighter/bruiser pal. Nerfing her mobility basically means gutting her. She is seriously is a good spot.

Bring back elise-evelynn-tank junglers and beleive me Vi won't be such a priority pick.

In my opinion, Jarvan and Vi's nerfs were a bit unnecessary. What they should of done was focus on buffing other champions. Inb4 someone posts that dumb Azir power creep video.

She's never really been a lower tier pick.

Even before she was FOTM, her winrate was at like 53% and her pickrate was at like 20%.

Season 4 was the season where Vi had the least impact. Early gankers were rewarded too much. Meaning Vi was out classed by better AoE team fighters because by the time she had her ult, her lanes were crushed by the better ganking potential pre-6 of the ennemy jungler.

Vi wasn't banned of all season 4 and she wasn't picked a lot either.

Vi was broken as fuck at the start at S4 wtf are you on about

She also maintained a really high pickrate even after she fell out of the LCS

Agreed, but Riot doesn't want to change or buff any old/low teir junglers outside of changing a few base stats, so I guess we have to. :/

Her nerfs aren't that hard. She can still clear the jungle very well as well still being mobile due to her Q. These nerfs are needed to be tuned down (no one can match her up now after J4 nerfs imo). But yes, the main prob is others being weak, they need help, not Vi being nerfed more.

But these changes are healthy imo.

Agree, but 350 base m speed with 2 close gap is too

Did you say 2 gap closers and 350 base m speed? LeeSin

I play Vi quite a bit, and I can tell you these nerfs ain't shit.

Glad to see more junglers might be seeing play.

Vi is 100% op, if she wants you she will get you no ifs and or butts and her damage is asinine for how mobile she is.

And Leblanc can one shot you if she has a single kill. And Riven can snowball super hard with a single kill. And graves can 100-0 you with the help of a support at lvl 6.

Do you want me to keep going on ? I can pretty much say that for every champion in the game.

Vi, to kill someone alone, needs to have, at least, 3 kills ahead of you. Or else she needs her teammates. And if her teammates can get to you... Then you should learn to ward.
