Why Take Away Ekko's AD???!!!

I am confused about the small percentage of Ekko's AD that has gotten taken away in 6.18. So I am an Ekko main and using AD isn't something Ekko really needs to be op, he is an AP champ obviously lol. You can easily get cdr which will make your abilities come by faster. Also, you only need three hits on someone to get the speed boost, so idc about taking away AD. I'm just saying that Ekko doesn't need it anyway.

They are attempting to nerf his defensive build (Fervor of Battle + Trinity Force -> Tank).

By reducing his base AD, they are:

Weakening his early trades in top-lane
Making it more difficult for him to last hit minions
Reducing the damage provided by Spellblade and Sterak's Gage

Any Ekko nerf is a good nerf
