Made it to gold after 1 year of playing, planning on pushing it to Plat next season (really just wanted a border for the S6 Reward). I'm looking to see if anyone has any suggestions for who tends to be a good solid pick for Gold and up. I see all these tier lists but they all tend to change based on what site it is on. ANYWAYS HAVE A HAPPY TIME ON THE RIFT [slayer-jinx-wink]
In high plat i see Zac very often as pick or Ban. Ive also seen Hecarim work very well. Vi is another easy and fitting champion. Kha emerges as the best assassin jungler. Graves is currently really strong, but id not bet on him, because i feel that it might not stay for long and changes could be made. Lee is another standard pick but requires alot of practice. Im convinced that Noc and Rengar are also pretty successful.
With this new buff in the next patch, Nunu is going to be a monster!
Considering how often teams picks high-damage but low-utility and squishy champions, I would recommend playing tanks and fighters in the jungle. Some good options would be:
