Akali's rework is...

Questionable. Playing against her is absolutely terrible. She plays like a video game character from a SINGLE PLAYER RPG. Her poke is immense as well as her early sustain which she really DOESNT NEED due to how hard she can bully you out of lane, and her shroud is just so god awful to play against. Honestly, it doesn't feel pleasant to cancel an auto and feel like a whack-a-mole failure everytime she wants to smoke on you. And even when YOU'RE the one engaging, what's the point if she can smoke and be "obscured" through your hard cc and TURRETS. I honest to god saw an akali dive malzahar, and she went for an auto and malz ulti'd but Oh well she smoked and so his ult doesnt really allow anything to happen. Akali shouldn't be able to make the mistake of turret diving a malz with R and get away with it because of a "New gamechanging mechanic" that isnt really changing or great just broken. I don't understand what was wrong with akali's old shroud tbh it gave movement and stealth but DIDNT LET YOU IGNORE TURRETS. Also alot of champions that involve winning when you jump into their face such as jax and renekton suffer greatly due to her not watching her range, walking too close, but just shurikan flipping the hell out of there and after she sits and waits for your ability to run out (counterstrike and or renek W) she will dash back in from ANY RANGE IN LANE in order to beat the hell out of you. There is no counterplay, there is only akali getting enjoyment out of her kit being overloaded and you dealing with the aftermath of it.

Overall I just believe that new akali's kit is overloaded and has had little thought put into how it interacts with other champion's kits. When I play against her there's nothing I can do, all of the mistakes that the PLAYER makes is covered up by how AKALI functions as a champion. Her shroud is my main grievance due to how the recloak timer is EXTREMELY short, barely allowing turrets to even target and hit her, let alone me. When akali does not have her cd's she can just sit back and farm with Q or walk off completely, while she does have her cd's she is overbearing and difficult to deal with just by the sheer mobility and safety her kit allows for.
