Yup, there will be a reset and you'll need to do a fresh batch of placements at the start of the season.

Yes, all ranked queues will reset at the start of the season (current target date being December 7th)

So, essentially, my rating drops twice? Once when I did placements now (we all got about a tier under our solo/duo rate), and once again in a month?
