Ideas for Mastery System

Let's be honest, the Mastery System as it is currently doesn't exactly tell you how good you are but rather just simply reveals how much you grind that champion.

This is just an opinion but ...

Can't we make the Mastery System somewhat like our KDA recorders?

We all know that by the end of every game, we get a certain amount of mastery points that determines what grade we have. Can't Riot just average the points we get and give us a ranking grade for that champion?

Even if someone plays over hundreds of games on the same champion can still be bad at it (me and lee bruh), but still can have Rank 7 mastery, which is possessively there to show how "good" you are. I honestly think that this would finally direct the Mastery System in its intended direction as a badge of mastery instead of just how much you play the champion.

Of course, there are people that just play few games on champions and gets lucky, resulting in S+ and such. Which is why we make this a Mastery 8, where you must first grind your way up before you are given the honor to reveal your skills.

This thread is for opinions only. Feel free to show us your opinions but please no hatred.

I like the current system more, it's not really meant to show skill but more to show how dedicated you are to a champion. The mastery 6 and 7 requirements of getting s's and spending dust to craft the badge really help show that you dedicated time to the champion.

to go from 0-5 just means you play the champ to get 6 and 7 you have to play well on that champ ( according to riots grade system) to get S or S+ to earn the tokens to unlock the mastery. meaning you have to perform better then the average for that champ which would mean at 6 or 7 you have some skill on that champ. does it make you diamond master or challenger tier?

no , but its relevant to the elo in which you play, if you are bronze and got lvl 7 mastery on a champ vs bronze players then you have preformed better then average on that champ for that elo/mmr. but a bronze player playing a champ over and over vs gold wouldnt reach the lvl 7 mastery because he wont preform above average on that champ due to being against a more skilled over all player.

as for me who has an mmr of mid silver rank or so to have lvl 7 on sona and morgana means i am skilled at those champs in my mmr range. i wouldnt get S, or S+ to earn lvl 6 or 7 vs better players because i wouldnt preform as well.
