MMR Broken?

I don't often look at people's profiles after a match. I most often play ranked and therefore expect most people I play are Bronze like me or low Silver. So I was taken aback at seeing a Victorious Graves in an ARAM game. So in the post game I look up profiles. A few players are unranked, and the rest are different degrees of Silver. Except not one but TWO people on the other team are Platinum.

It's ARAM and stuff and I'm not pissed off, but what the hell Riot?

Edit I forgot, one of the other players was in the same club as the Plats, but shouldn't that drag the lowbie up to a higher elo match?

Different game queues have different hidden elos. This isn't surprising and is actually a good thing, because someone might be really good at ARAM and bad at ranked.

ARAM MMR is different from ranked MMR which is different from normals MMR which is different from RGM MMRs.

Premades tend to get matches based on their average MMR for that queue, so the high MMR people get pulled down and the low MMR people pulled up, but again MMRs for different queue types are indepedent of one another so theres plenty of people with high ranked solo/duo mmrs but low MMRs in other queue types if they don't play them often (or are otherwise just bad at them).
