Could someone clarify what they mean by decoupling More Sparkles from Paddlestar?

When you cast Q, you can hit AA for passive damage, then 2nd cast of Q allows another AA with the passive bonus.

Are they saying champs hit by Q can't be hit by your passive now for some time? Like, if you throw out an auto attack at an enemy champion after hitting them with Q, they'll take a normal AA, but you could then attack something else and do passive damage to it?

Before when Q hit someone they took the Q damage + passive damage, they removed that. You can still aa for passive damage, but your q doesn't scale with your passive anymore.

i see, thanks for the clarification. i didn't realize that was happening, The Q just felt very powerful so I rolled with it.

I guess now they'll have more control over zoe's balance now that P and Q are decoupled.
