I am a Yasuo Main.

Hey Everyone,

As said in the title above I am a Yasuo main, 296k to be exact. I have played him and have been in love with his play-style since the moment I heard about him in Season 4. As of late, There has been a lot of hate coming down on Yasuo, especially in lower ELO. I counted multiple board threads about him, specifically as I opened the boards today. So, I decided it was time ( and a long time coming ), to talk about him and the playerbase around him.

Yasuo Is a fighter-type champion with an extremely mobile kit, but only to the extent of being in a lane. His Windwall allows him to block enemy projectiles, which makes him a counter to ranged champions, on top of his dash for an easy engage to fight them, these two points are seemingly the main part of why players are triggered by him.

Currently, Yasuo is an extremely high damaging champion to both champions, but also games, due to his easily obtainable max crit, allowing him to scale harder than most by just sheer damage.

But, without kills, it is very hard for him to scale into a game where other players are getting them instead, even with a Phantom Dancer, (or statikk if you prefer), it is hard for him to make it work if the enemy ADC or jungler (used to get fed off of if behind) have kills, or are fed of course. He is a very snowball reliant champion, if he is to be shut down, it has to be early or it is an instant loss, unless his team feeds badly.

Players who complain about Yasuo's kit, and his snowball, and his damage, etc.,** Do not know how to play against him.** Or their team mates. Yasuo is countered by a heavy cc tank like Rammus or Amumu. Even then, there will always be a more skilled laner that he is possible to get placed against. To shut down Yasuo so he absolutely cannot scale into late game, he **has ** to be camped, or make mistakes frequently to capitalize(In this case we are talking about a skilled Yasuo, I have had recent games where a Yasuo has made stupid decisions and lost an easy lane, due to inexperience).

Although he is a counter to ADCs / Marksman alike, his Windwall is an expendable ability with a long cooldown, which can easily be baited out with a Blitzcrank or Thresh Pull, otherwise he risks the CC and getting caught out. When this ability is down it is crucial to engage on him in a lane or as a marksman. I'm not saying to go 1v1ing a fed Yasuo as an ADC, but his Windwall is more or less the most triggering of his abilities, and yet it is the most expendable.

Now, I'm not going to give away all my secrets, I'm just trying to shed some light on the subject. Once players learn to play against him, he becomes less of a threat and more of a liability.

Thank you for reading if you did, or just went to the comments.

No hate please,** we're not all bad. **

I love yasuo players. Their excuse is ''once you learn to play against him hes not that bad!''

I mean. That should go for every fucking champ in the game. Why is that only exclusive to yasuo. Thats pretty sad that thats the argument yasuo mains use to counteract others

Most halfway decent players of this game know how to play against him. They don't come down on Yasuo because he's OP, that champion is just annoying as shit.

Yasuo really isn't that bad, and if he is, what are you going to do about it? Riot isn't going to nerf him. He does have a couple counters. I find him easy to lane against mostly because I know to either walk around his windwall or not attack him then. How hard is that? Yeah, he can block a bunch of ults. Just don't use them on him or use them when he's walked away from the wall or it's on cooldown. All you ADCs can stay in the back and know when to retreat all while keeping an eye on your tank's health, but you can't dodge his tornado? Make him your number one target to take down in a teamfight. If you're laning against him, do it under the turret so it forces him to push and get ganked..Most mages can outdamage him easily, assassins could probably 1v1 him pretty well, and tanks can withstand most of his burst.

Even Katarina has more burst than him, and it's harder to dodge because she can teleport to you with shunpo which isn't even a skillshot, it just brings her close to use her W!

Except when he gets one item he is pretty much stronger than anyone else on the map

He's balanced, we get that. But he is so damn toxic and unfun to fight.

Someone said he has like 25% play rate.

no matter how much you learn about him, 2 items 100% crit has no way around it

The Problem is not if you are able to play against him or not, he has good counterplay and is not OP.

The Problem is that he is annoying and frustrating af.

I love Yasuo players...

  1. Very few can get a head on their own.
  2. They mostly lose lane and flame their JGer, which translates into no help ever.
  3. If they pick Yasuo before I pick, then Morgana , Kayle , Chogath , Maokai ,or Veigar and laugh a lot as #2 happens.
  4. They take credit for every win even though they need to get carried, especially the Yasuo that plays top... A glass cannon that gets burned down by everyone...
