Have you tried an aggressive poke support like Vel koz or brand? Its very interactive and keeps you busy while not focusing in farming. All you need to do is build spell theft into sight stone, cdr boots, morrellos, rylais, torment, ludens/good staff. You reach max cdr insanely fast and get high ap. You're still support, but more fun and deal loads of damage.
