20 Wins, then 20 Loses, over, and over, and over.

Does anyone else have a screenshot of the so-called 50% win rate myth?

Every time I start closing the gap and shrinking the lose to win ratio, it does the same thing over and over and over. 20 game win 20 game lose.

80% Winrate back down to 30% win rate, then back up to 80% Winrate, and then back down to 30%. Same thing every week.

I'm confused what I'm suppose to be looking for. That account has a mix of single wins/losses with some streaks occasionally.

The 48% win rate. I am talking about the 50% win rate myth.

Is it a myth or is it factual?

I added to the original post as well.

What 50% winrate myth exactly? The theory about elo is that over the course of many games, everyone eventually gets to around 50%. The "many games" part can be a lot of games. If you start the season ten loses than wins, it could take as many as 1500 games for your winrate to get to 50 when rounding to the closest single digit.

The 50% thing happens because once mmr finds your true elo, you should be winning 50% of your games from there onwards. Eventually, you will play enough games at your correct elo that your winrate dilutes out to 50%. However, no one ever said that every player will play enough games every season to get to 50% exactly.

20 win streak and hit silver MMR from bronze, then 20 lose streak back to bronze MMR.

My first month of playing League before ranked was unlocked, I had a Plat II MMR. I cannot imagine what I really am now.

I can carry 3v5 and win, some of the time. I can even get perfect KDA's with an entire team that feeds. I have learned a ton from my ranked journey, but every week is the same thing, win 20 lose 20.

Where are the win streaks? I see a mix of single wins/losses and small streaks. Don't see a 20 win or lose streak anywhere.

I have a 59% w/r on this account and a 54% on my other account.

If you played at a Plat level you would have no trouble climbing out of bronze.

In fact you’d have to intentionally troll to stay in bronze.

True story! Come play with me and find out!!

I already have climbed from Bronze. I went from Bronze to Plat in S7. I had two more accounts sitting in bronze which I brought to Gold with ease. I literally cannot duo with you anymore because unless I’m actually trolling my accounts aren’t under Gold.

I didn't say Ranked Duo, we can play Normal Draft. Less Go!

I’m a few hours from home but add me sure we can play.

I dont think you quite understand the 'myth' youre talking about. So let me explain; Riots matchmaking attempts to keep you at around 50% win rate by matching you with progressively weaker allies and stronger opponents the more you win, until you lose some and the system dips the opposite direction.

Its why you ALWAYS want to win games in a 2:1 ratio, even if youre good enough to get on a hot streak and potentially skip a rank. Your premise is evidence of the 'myth'. Over time your win:loss ratio WILL even out unless youre actively trying to lose games.

Sometimes its good, then other times people have to feed /17/ to shut me down. I know I am at least half decent, I get compliments from smurfs who play with me.
