Myth: Your wards placed has effect on your ranking

People say to supports that if you ward well you will likely get an S rank. Not true, you can spam sightstone in spawn and they wouldn't make it that easy to cheese an S rank with 200 wards placed and 5000 vision score. I thought this was obvious but the fact that I've heard this 15+ times says otherwise. I'm not even sure anything vision related plays a role in your rank, and if there was a stat that would it would be wards cleared (I honestly doubt it has an effect though).

Tip: I'd say the best way to get an S with support is to steal your ADCs cs for a game. Since rankings are based on the average of that champion+ role, most supports are going to have ~1.5 cs per minute, if you have 5 times that then you will help your grade a ton. This is how I usually get an S+ on Bard, I end a game with like 100 cs. I don't recommend this in ranked ^

The majority of the score comes from player averages, and its basically what matters

Blitz support has a standard

Ornn support also has a standard, which is about 1/3 of blitzcranks.

Basically the things ive noticed that have the absolute highest weight are KDA, and End of Game gold. NOT CS NUMBERS, and Average Performance based on champion and role.

Sabotaging your team for an S rank

Nice

There are ways to get CS as a support that isnt sabotaging you team. When hard pushing later in the game just some spells to clear. If no one goes to clear a huge wave in an off lane. go take it.

Ill often have over 100 cs at the end of matches as a support because people just let massive waves crash into towers and im like "fuck it. Free gold"

100cs as a support is a little extreme without double relic procs. If your team is allowing 100cs to go to the support they arent playing correctly or you are over roaming. Especially on non relic shield starters.

League /cs per min/ / gold per min / /wards per min/ Bronze / 1.00/ 278.75 /0.51 Silver / 0.95/ 277.51 /0.61 Gold / 0.93/ 276.48 /0.69 Platinum / 0.91/ 276.77 /0.76 Diamond/ 0.89/ 278.11 / 0.82 Master/ 0.88/ 279.53 / 0.92 Challenger/ 0.83/ 279.46/ 0.94

As you can see, the higher you go, the less the support gets, and this is due to high elo players consistently being awesome at taking standing cs. And even at the highest average you are claiming to be csing over 5 times more than average, something isnt right with that.

Vision score is partly determined what your wards do or do not see. So spamming them in base is useless.

I've gotten S many times as support and I don't even buy sightstone. In fact, if every member of the team routinely dropped their wards appropriately, you would hardly need it at all.

Here's another myth - the support is "stealing" the cs. No adc is clearing the wave at 100% efficiency. Pushing the wave away from your tower is a good thing.
