When are you actually silver? Last game, all bronze vs all silver.

I'm bronze 1 and i've noticed that the majority of the ppl i play against are all silver. On my team, i seem to get one bronze player most of the time. I even once got a bronze 3 player and they put me against 5 or 4 silver.

In my last game, we were 5 bronze vs 5 silver. Again, how is that even fair?

Now, maybe, bronze 1 is actually silver and i wish to know that. At what point in bronze are you actually a silver player who plays against silver 5, silver 2?

My real question now, what the hell is the point of a 3/5 promo match from bronze to silver when i'm playing against 5 silver players even after i just lost my promo games earlier? The system is confusing. They act as if i'm silver even if i'm not.

The 3/5 promo match in bronze is luck base or you need a premade and i think that has to chance.

The system isn't set up in any way to be fair, sorry you haven't figured that out yet buddy.

Congrats Buddy. You must be doing amazingly good in your games against bronzies on your way up to bronze 1 !!

So much so that your hidden MMR has increased far quicker than your rank has. And because of this you are being matched up with players of the same hidden MMR, Players who are silver in ranking. But fear not friend!! Just because your current rank in bronze, it does not mean they are better than you!. Your Hidden MMR is so close the matchmaking system deemed it fit to match you guys against eachother.

Keep playing your best. Keep improving. And do not fear those that are higher rank than you for you have the skill to defeat them you just gotta believe in yourself.

Also, You get to practice against players who got into silver already :D;Now, Once you get into silver yourself it won't seem so scary :D. Yay!.

its becuase your mmr is high and there isnt a diff between bronze silver and gold, reason bronze players cant climb,,, generally bad , good but make bad game play decisions, rage quit after 1 death

This is actually happening to me I believe I have been playing Naut in ranked and I think im 129/101 wit him and still bronze 2. I was bronze 1 with 90 lp the lost every game down to about B2 10 LP .

In order to really know I would need to see the a graph of everyone I played against in comparison to me and their current ranks vs when I played them.

you are bronze until high silver

Your LP follows your MMR. If you are regularly being matched with Silvers more than Bronzes then it probably means your MMR is actually more in the Silver range. Your LP gains and losses will be heavily weighted to bring you to the "correct" league and division so long as you keep playing games (and continue winning around 50% of the time)

If your mmr goes up high enough you will be placed against higher tiered players.

So if you win something like 10 matches in a row by some random chance, you will be placed against players at a minimum of two tiers higher then you. If you win you will get much larger amounts of LP and go up in rank faster. If you lose you will lose less LP then normal and go down slower.

However if you lose something like 10 matches in a row by some chance, then the reverse happens. You will be placed against lower tiered enemies, win less LP and lose more LP.

(Numbers are just for show. They are not exact win/loss match ratios.)
