Aatrox Coming Up Changes

There are some major problems with the coming up changes with aatrox. The main problem is his passive. It now doesn't give attack speed until you get blood rush. It gives 20-50% attack speed which isn't a lot if you only get it when you activate blood rush. Current aatrox gives 30-55% attack speed and still does even when not full. Also blood decays way to fast at least make it decay 2% every second when not in combat to make jungle aatrox work, also during blood rush you should be able to refill your blood by using abilities when not in combat with champs. The base ad... It sucks. It increases your base ad from 60-75 at level 1, at level 18 it increases from 113-144 which is garbage. Only his q can benefit from it. Blood rush should also give initiation benefits, maybe decreasing the cast time of q by 20% or make it uncancellable or both. Blood rush should give movement speed since you are rushing for blood, but no need for that if you buff q while in blood rush. Instead of giving 25% base ad, you should gain increase damage per 5% of near by champ's missing health. Another problem is w, blood thirst and price. Blood price got nerfed way too hard. You should of kept the health cost, it is called "blood price". At least make it deal 60% of total ad to benefit from the horrible base ad gain from blood rush. Death's dance + tiamat will almost heal as much as blood thirst which is strange... It should be anywhere near to heal as much as blood thirst. There should be a 200 health deference to at least use both in curtain situations. Blood price will make blood thirst point less. Old blood thirst was fine, but old Blood price did way too much damage, but lowering the base damage and ad ratio is way too far. Lower the base damage not the ad ratio. The base damage is the reason why aatrox is so good in early game. You won't have too much ad until you get an ad item, like ravenous or death's dance. Problem 3 his base health is way too low unless you kept his revive even without blood rush. You arent rushing to die, you are rushing for blood. Remove revive and raise his base hp or keep revive when without blood rush or lower the cool down of revive by 2 seconds every 1 second every time blood rush is running.

simple changes like changing 25% base ad from blood rush to 10-20% bonus ad will be better for aatrox and movement speed increase or a faster q cast can help aatrox a lot. Aatrox's q is really unreliable with that tiny knock up and slow cast time, it is way too predictable with it being visible to enemies to some odd reason. Blood price is decent but might need some ad ratio tweaks, but blood thirst really needs some buffs to actually be useful in mid-late game.

Aatrox changes look good from the perspective of "move him towards something viable that isn't broken" even if they aren't necessarily moving him towards "viable but also unique from the rest of the diver cancer."

Enjoy that he will be viable yet boring for a bit as opposed to the previous iteration that was still boring but also not viable.

How to really help Aatrox: Kill those cast-time vulnerability frames. (Via removing them or make him less targetable.)

His range increase has always been a big red mark in my book. (I'm in range, more range is not helping me achieve anything.)

Personal preference will say that he should probably just synergize with Guinsoo's more. It's good that his AP ratios let him use it more I think, since his W really likes Guinsoo's double-hit in junction with it's on-hit. It's downside though is cost and that it's really not efficient to build on him versus probably other items.

I think you're misreading the description, he doesn't gain AS when he dies, he gains AS when his bar reaches 100%, during this time, he can extend the duration of blood rush by receiving or dealing damage and additionally, if he reaches 0 HP he revives with 30% health

Considering that the blood well doesn't decrease and that Aatrox' skills are almost free now, filling it to 80% should be really easy, at 80% all you have to do is either fish for a Q to fill up to 100% and be in range to use your AS or simply wait until the enemy jumps on you and activate W until you get the blood well proc and then switch W to heal all the damage

Also consider that his ult fills the well by 20% per champion hit, meaning that a Q + 4 people hit activates your passive inmediately which is pretty cool

Hello im solarus17 i was diamond 4 and the 3rd best aatrox in na in season 5 and i have over 1 MILLION MASTERY points on aatrox The new aatrox is Terrible i have waited 2 LONG YEARS for aatrox changes and im extremely disappointed and am considering quiting league if it is not fixed

In my opinion hes WEAKER than he was before and i didnt think that was possible let me start with the pros

the percent health cost were removed which is great so you can actually build hp better scaling overall on most abilities with ad especially the e

now with the cons MY MAIN PROBLEM IS THE PASSIVE

ITS HORRIBLE

to stack it is very hard because it decays so quickly when out of combat and gives no benefits unless your at 100%. aatrox jungle is completely useless. It gives you a weaker early laning phase which was one of aatrox strengths and leaves you vulnerable to being zoned out. The small buffs that it provides you when proced are not big enough for the difficulty that it takes to charge it up, and it quickly leaves when out of combat WITH CHAMPION. Furthermore when you have it stacked you are forced to not utilize abilities to push or wave clear because you will proc passive and mainly aatrox kit revolves around the revive and w healing which is what you mostly use since it used to triple heal. NOW when you are at 4 stacks and very low it forces you to choose between w healing (WHICH DOESN'T GIVE AND ANYTHING TO BLOOD-WELL) but you need to recover hp, or w damage to proc 5th stack and get revive, so what happens is you end up dying AND REVIVING THEN TO DIE OR PROCING HEAL TO JUST DIE AND NOT PROC REVIVE.

the e not being magic damage is also a big nerf considering that overall dmg output is less (when enemy builds armor) but is compensated by the fact that it scales of ad ( which is great)

The w overall is also a big nerf early especially dmg portion ( but compensated by it not costing hp)

the ad ratios were increased but offset by the fact that the hp cost were removed so now you struggle choosing a build path (not that the actual buffs to ad ratio and removal of hp cost were bad)

In conclusion the rework is NOT SOLID AT ALL and im overall happy with most of the skill changes what really needs to be buffed is the passive, or else aatrox will go from being BAD to being slightly worse

IF the passive is buffed then i think he will be ok
