Proposition: Changes to "Blind"
Riot and players, I propose a new way to balance champions with anything close to Blinds, Stealths, and Silences.
Previously, the way teemo Q works is he shoots a blinding dart at an enemy, negating all melee attack damage for "blank" seconds.
Previously, the way garen Q works is he uhh.. I don't know the exact description, but for example, "Slams Demacian justice on his opponents," Silencing them for "blank" seconds. Silence meaning not allowing the enemy to cast abilities for the duration.
Previously, the way akali W works is she placed down her shroud, which allows her to become "Stealthed" while inside the shroud... movement speed .. and stuff.. Stealthed, meaning completely invisible and only seen by the enemy team if they place a pink ward or have an ability or trinket that "reveals" said stealthed champions. I.E. Lee Sin E.
I propose that instead of being completely invulnerable without pink wards, Akali should be slightly transparent, hard to see and such. With "Stealthed" just being a visual effect, and giving a percentage "Dodge" rate that scales with ability level. Obviously this would break certain champs like Shaco, and Evelynn, But this will be fixed by 1. not showing evelynn or shaco's head.. thing.. on the minimap. and 2. Not showing the hp and mana bars on top of the champion. This would make them appear like a skill shot. A single entity, opaque, and hard to see. But it's not fair currently that Akali shroud, Evelynn passive, Shaco Q, Kha'Zix ult, Rengar ult, and Teemo passive, give them complete invulnerability and a huge upperhand therein. Note: as a suggestion, maybe wards on the enemy team could be slightly transparent too, but harder to see. Still invulnerable, but if something is warded in the weirdest place it shouldn't be invulnerable and unseeable. Like the scuttlecrab that the enemy gets, you can still see the fact that they have that vision.
I also propose that like the percentage "Dodge" rate of new "Stealthed," things like Blinds and Silences would have a percentage dodge rate that scales with level for passives, or rank with QWER abilities. Garen Q would allow people to cast abilities, but it'll either do decreased damage by percentage, or have a certain percentage chance to actually hit. Like this new "Silence," Blinds would have either decreased damage by percentage, or have a certain percentage chance to actually hit Teemo.
I think this is a great way to make the game more fun and balance certain champs without affecting different roles. While this idea is very raw and not concrete in the slightest, I still think that there's something wrong, Almost morally, with being able to be completely stealthed. No one likes a game where there is no counterplay. As you have said before, riot, You appreciate diversity, and encourage counterplay. Well currently, There is no counterplay for when you're silenced, blinded, or simply can't see the enemy. If you take a look at the statistics, i bet you that shaco jungle, Teemo top, Garen top, Akali mid, Evelynn jungle, Rengar jungle, Rengar top, Wukong especially, all of them have increased win rates and greatly reduced counterplay.
Note: Kha'Zix jungle, while strong, IS countered by his squishiness. He needs that stealth to be valid. But i shouldn't be able to dodge a lucian ult just because i went behind him into a bush between dragon and mid lane, and then just recall there like i simply disappeared. That's what flash jukes are for. Not a 50 second cooldown ultimate that can in certain cases be used 3 times, allowing for 6 seconds of invisibility in the middle of a duel.
Tl;Dr - Blinds and Silences, shouldn't restrict damage outputs to 0%. Percentage Dodge chance that scales with level or rank of an ability is a great option for counterplay against Overpowered junglers, top lanes, and certain mid laners. Stealths should make you opaque, without a minimap .. thing.., and without a hp bar and mana / energy bar. Upvote if you agree, leave your comments on whether this is a good idea, or nerfs stealth, silence, and blinding champs too much.
