CDR/ADC's/Crit interactions
Balance: Balance is thrown around a lot these days but I think the problem started with Crit. Crit AA's on an RNG are impossible to balance. Remember when mages were the only ones who needed CDR? Now CDR is a staple on almost everyone's items. ADC's, Tanks, Mages, Assassins, they all get to the cap rather easily and quickly. CDR was a needed component to balance damage across the board after Crit became such a huge stat. Abilities needed a way to keep up with ADC's pumping out damage (randomly) Tanks needed CDR to further their use of abilities to lock down and defend against the rising tide of damage. Supports needed CDR to deal with the increased damage and THEY needed to feel valuable to the game. Along with auto-fill, this went a long way to making supports more than viable, it made them necessary. This post isn't an answer to damage creep, ADC's, or Tank's but I think the interaction (reduction/removal of crit) would make balance easier and open up AP/AD itemization
TLDR: Get rid of Crit, adc's damage comes down, balance can be restored, cdr can go back to being a mage only stat, tanks can go back to playing defense. Supports and Assassins need better interactional tools to feel like they have impact. Less instant damage or shields, more tools to get to the adc or more team oriented tools (Janna Ult)
