Idea for Gangplank

Make his ultimate give his allies buffs when they're in the area, like some extra movespeed or AD/AP. This puts more emphasis on its usage as a powerful teamfighting tool, rather than something used to get free assists while barely tickling the enemy team. Any thoughts on this? (Also can someone give an update on the progress of the Gangplank rework, nobody mentioned it for quite a while)

I think his E does the assists enough, and I don't really see how falling herds of ordinary cannonballs can actually increase allies' AD & AP in it.

That's not the direction. Invisible buffs for that skill are bad both in terms of design (cannonballs buffing people) and balance (I'd prefer Gangplank to turn into a manlier, stronger fighter/duelist, rather than a scared utility half support half poker).
