I got a small concept about Rod of Ages, :P
I was thinking about how in a game of league how actually long ten minutes is, think within the first ten minutes of a game you will probably have died once or twice gotten some kills and assists on have your first, or be on the way, to your first major item maybe an infinity edge, or luden's echo, or MAYBE you are playing
or
or tree
and you are going for a Rod of Ages. Odd and unnecessary intros aside however, i thought about a way to change Rod of ages in order to get tankier faster and encourage smarter and more reliable choices and play from the summoners themselves. I thought that
could change so that it goes up to 15 stacks, you get a stack every 45 seconds instead of one minute per stack, AND if you died you lose a stack making it take longer before you reach that really tanky and still ap focused build, (small tangent, THIS may or may not be a possibility but I thought that 'what if after 675 seconds the item locks so that you cannot get stacks anymore, so that if you die you wont be able to make the item completely worth while', after some thinking i decided that this would not be a good idea for balancing issues and that it might turn people away from buying the item in the first place and just going for more raw ap or going for straight tank items, but roa mixes all of that up that is what makes it special as an item so i tossed it aside but thought i would include it in the post anyways) :P besides that i feel like getting more stacks faster BUT that whole state of being all tanky and bursty could be prolonged if you die was a cool concept, lemme know what you think :P
