To put in perspective:
Max range nidalee spear was 560 + 1.6 ap
Zoe max range is 400 + 1.6 ap.
Except its better, because its got a really low cooldown, travels super fucking quickly and has splash damage so it can clear minion waves.

Don't forget that Zoe has hard cc to land a max range Q and she doesn't actually have to be that far away from you to get a max range Q because of the bounce mechanic.
If any other designer had proposed this, they would have been shot down by other team members reminding them that playing against the old AP Nidalee was zero fun and hard to balance. But this was proposed by CertainlyT so it's OK for everyone not playing his champion to have zero fun.

Hail the pre-worked 
Zoe's Q takes a bit more finesse than just "stand a mile away and hit Q in the direction of your target". It's less fire-and-forget than Nid spears.
As well, her E has fairly low range for a skillshot (when not fired through a wall) and can be blocked by minions.
She's also rather squishy and has no real escape unless she has a Flash shard.
At least, that's at a first glance.

Azir was strongest before all his nerfs, and kit removals Ryze bc i feel like the old ones were stronger, Skarner bc again the old one actually seems more viable now. Shaco he simply was stronger, Eve as well. Her early game lacks real consistant damage in the form of actual damage and dps. she gets 3 shots and she's out. still as squishy as before. Before atleast she had her ad ratio's and stealth insta.
While we at it I'll take trydamere's old 8 second ult back instead of the new 5 we been haveing to use.
and I'll take thresh back from before they nerfed him so he couldnt be adc thresh by nerfing his AS gains from items.
Oh and last but not least 
and while your at it I want lantern a jug item again and Sword of the Occult back in the shop, no fair mages still got their snowball items where is mine?
I played old nid and enjoyed her spear. I enjoy bringing this mechanic back.

You forgot that it can also alter its trajectory mid/end-flight.
yea, just ignore the part where she has to cast it into the other direction first and then need to cover some ground to indirectly cast it on maxrange. Not saying it can't be frustraiting, but nidas old spears were much easier to use and spam on high range
can we stop using busted shit to justify you wanting busted shit (the entire mage arugement on boards that they dont do enough damage)
Her Q is whatever but the super long range hard CC with a huge hitbox that unfolds to essentially a soraka E except better since the stun happens in .3 seconds instead of 1.5 is what I think needs tuning. I'm pretty sure the only way you won't get huge value whenever you use it is if you shoot it 180 degrees in the opposite direction of the enemy.
Zoe's Q comes out of nowhere, is completely invisible like 80% of the time and has hitbox the size of Africa?
Zoe may be a bit busted when played properly, but she is nowhere near old Nidalee levels. Her Q has much less effective range - 800, jumping to 1375 with ultimate vs Nidalee's 1500. It's also highly telegraphed seeing as she has to cast it behind herself first, and as such is laughably easy to dodge unless she hits E first.
Old Nidalee could literally be played as a brainless Q bot, only using Cougar to escape if by some magic someone managed to reach her. Hell, even in LCS you could see blind spear chucking, due to how zero risk insane reward of a play it was. I dare you to try and play Zoe that way and see what happens.
