I am currently in Silver II, and according to OP.GG my solo mmr is Gold IV. I am curios if it was possible to skip to Gold V or to skip Silver I and go straight ahead to promos. I am pretty sure people cant skip divisions in Silver II, but i want to be 100% sure. My account: op.gg
If your mmr is high enough you can skip whatever, pretty sure I've skipped low divisions in plat, and I believe in principle people can skip divisions in diamond too.
Trick is getting your mmr high enough. Op.gg and similar are just estimates so often aren't quite right (especially when you don't have that many games played such as early in the season), and on top of that it loosely takes a full tier of MMR (rather than a few divisions) before skipping becomes a thing.
They have made it way harder to skip. In prev seasons you could skip easily. Nowadays even on 90% winrate accs i don't see a lot of skipping happening. I mean they neeed a way to keep this dead game from going by extending the grind.
Lp gains are a much better indication of whether you will skip or not. 30+ lp per win can skip division 1 in my experience, but typically you need 33+. Divisions below 1 can skip at ~28+ lp per win.
