Will the League of Bruiser & Assassin meta ever change?

I'm jw. I seem to only enjoy playing certain mage champions, and while I love their lore & playstyle, getting 2 shot by other champs is starting to get old.

Assassins have been out of meta for over a year, their risk is too high when you could play say...Irelia or Diana and do the exact same thing, but additionally cause a fair amount of disruption and survive being bursted, there has been like 2 assassins that have actually been viable at all this season (3 if you count LB) and kayn has only been viable because of is extremely strong passive in assassin form and the fact that if he falls behind he can just go tank instead and remain useful as for bruisers, they have been out of meta for a while too, they didn't even have a keystone for over half the season

i used to main assassins, but the champs are too risky to play, any competent support shuts you down completely, legit compared to...basically anything else, most assassins have to put in over 3x the effort to even be relevant, anything higher then that and the only assassins that are viable that don't make you want to pull your hair out are Evelynn Kayn Leblanc and that's because their outright overloaded, legit, try to jump on kai sa as zed, zhonyas, try to kill lucian as rengar, dashes away and ults since he has 150 armor, try to kill neeko as talon, ult zhonyas, riot has single handedly babied carry roles to the point where counter carries (assassins) are essential on the brink of being forgotten completely, if you actually having trouble with assassins that aren't eve, kayn or leblanc, your skill level is definitely silver or below

I use the same Argument against you. If you have any trouble playing Assasines in a meta, where Assasines are stupidly overpowered, where its either oneshot, or get oneshot, your Skilllevel is definitfly below silver. You complain about legit counterplay measurements (Items, hardcounter picks), thats a joke right? Not even considering the fact, that many Assasines need more than one, sometimes more than 2 ppl to keep them under control. Sometimes you need just one lucky kill, to become a neraly unkillable preadator, onehitting everything in your way. Supports (Especially Enchanters and tanks) are in the worst spot since 3 years ago. Patch 7.23 (or 7.24 idk) deleted Enchanters entirely, and tanks overall got nerfed since the tank meta.

That doesn't make any sense because the only meta assassins are Kass, LB, Kha6 and Evelynn. Mages outclass assassins right now.

No. The meta never ever changed in LoL ever, you are fucked. And the ones that may will point out that there are TONS of mages still performing VERY well are just lying bastard trying to cover up the truth, sorry.

No, I legit think that:

a) The meta never changed, EVER. Since beta

b) ALL the site showing good win rate for tons of mages are ALL part of a big Conspiracy

c) The Earth is flat NASA IS MESSING WITH US!!!

AP champs in general are strong, mostly because the have the most powerful active item in the game

They also have extremely strong item components as well.

item 3191 shuts down the Lethality on 2 items when fully stacked.

yes, and this is my problem with the game, their slapping so many defensive stats on offensive items in an attempt to curb the damage creep they have caused but assassins are the class suffering the most as now marksman and mages are running around with fighter level defenses while still doing considerable damage (Viktor is a prime example of this problem, he can one shot most champs mid to late game and hes typically sitting on 200+ armor, 150ish mr and 3k+ health)
