The State of League of Legends (Patch 6.9)
Fellow summoners,
My name is Urf Level, but you can call me Justin. Ive been playing for a while now, since about mid season four, if you check my [Wasted on Lol Page](http://wasted-on-lol.com/stats/na/urflevel/) you would see that I have 3140 hours in this game, which is about 131 days of just League matches, so I've been playing for a while. As you probably noticed, this discussion is about the state of the game we all know and love--_or maybe hate_---League of Legends. So, the reason I made this thread is because of the crippling state of the **Marksman Role**.
You are probably thinking "What is this guy out of his mind? How could the Marksman Role be considered even slightly underpowered! Does he even see how strong Tristana, Vayne or dare I say...Lucian!" But let me stop you there, by crippling I don't mean underpowered, or even the ability of the champ we all know and love, "Their heartbeats quicken." By crippling I mean the non-equitability of the Marksman class. Hear me out, take a gander at all the Marksman, **IGNORE TEEMO**, and who do you see that is actually played? According to [Lolking's List of Champions:](http://www.lolking.net/champions) Kog'Maw-3%, Corki-3.3%, or even Varus-3.9% and compare that to Ezreal-25.5%, Vayne-26.7%, or Lucian-38.1%, all these are relative popularity.
Furthering my point, I don't wish for all champs to champs to have an identical percentage, but for such a disparity there must be a reason. I believe this goes to the champs viability in this meta that we play in, but do we deserve to be trapped monotony? Do we deserve to be forced in to choosing 3 viable champs? Do we deserve to get harassed in champ select because our choice champ isn't 'practical' ? The answer to all of these is NO, we deserve better. What we deserve is a balanced champion pool especially for a role as critical as Marksman. There is no reason to have Lucian be as strong as he is, and the opposite for Miss Fortune.
To conclude, I believe that us summoners should have the right to pick a Champion, and feel comfortable with them. All Champions are special, and unique in their own way, and it is a damn shame that we can't experience them they way they were meant to be played. If we, the player base, inform Riot Games about the crippling state of the Marksman Role, and the non-equity in relative champion viability. We, the summoners, the player base, the core of this game, can make a change, a righteous change; a change for good, Make League Great Again! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
