Why does it matter? There is no more summoning. No more Summoners.

Your question was answered in the Journals of Justice but the entire concept of the Institute is now gone.

In the original canon (not the new bs), the time in the LoLverse does not parallel our own time frame.

League of Legends (the game) has been out for five years but the LoLverse timeline has not progressed five years. What we know is that the LoLverse timeline starts at the disappearance of Reginald Ashram and that currently the three Freljord factions are at war, Rengar and Kha'Zix are playing hanky panky with each other and that Graves is hunting Twisted Fate. There are a few situations which empirically we can say that time passed such as when Shen joined, the Kinkou order existed but soon after Zed does his Zed shenanigans and now the order no longer exists.

The way I see it, even though we see champion releases about once every three months is that most the champions were in the League around the same time. Without being too knowledgeable of the JoJ I'd estimate that only a few weeks to a month would have passed. Sejuani would be making siege preparations, Miss Fortune would be sailing across the Guardians Sea looking for bounties and Teemo would be torturing kittens for his own pleasure ect..

If you have watched the Gantz anime, I would relate a summoners call to being very similar to the call of the Gantz Sphere. You would run about your lives like normal then an omni-present ding that only you would hear and you know you have only some minutes before you are teleported to that hotel room with the rest of your team spawning in soon after.

As stated previously here, summoners are no more. They are not canon anymore, like the Institute of War and the League of Legends. (Confusing? Yes. There's been a lot of discussion about it here on the boards, but I would not advice you to read any of it, because Riot is sticking to their guns so it would be just a way to ruin your liver.) In the old canon they just lived their lives outside of the League. Some champions had jobs to do, others had hobbies and so on. Gragas and Jax were drink buddies, Alistar used his fame as a Champion to draw attention on Noxus' bad deeds and did some philanthropic things, Morgana had a bakery in Noxus and Taric helmed a musical called "The sound of magic". Things like this or Evelynn and Twisted Fate holding tango lessons.

well darius and garen see who can lift gragas and both of them end up failing and getting squashed which is why loading screens take like 2-5 minutes because that is how long the summoners are taking to respawn darius and garen
