Strategies for winning top lane? Help me

Hello everyone! I'm a Silver 1 player in NA and I'm hardstuck. I main Riven and I generally do very well in lane and usually win it and get very fed if not ahead. The problem is I almost always have a very bad bot lane (not trying to be salty) who end up feeding very hard. This is mainly the reason I lose. I would like people to come up with strategies to win as a top laner in situations where bot feeds, where you win top lane, where you lose top lane, and etc. Thanks I hope y'all come up with some handy ideas!

Split and pick is the name of the game. Shoving is simply not enough. You need to ward up jgs well and actually feed off of the enemy team's mistakes. Ex - walking through their own jg for whichever side you're on. If you're top, keep pinks on you, ward up well and always try to mirror anyone's movements so you catch them out and take them out. You can kill people 1 by 1 as they come to you if you get far enough ahead. That's all it really takes. This is the best way to climb from Silver - low gold, especially when a lane feeds.

Push push push. Seriously in bronze/silver teams cannot respond to splitpush correctly. Yes if the other team is just absurdly fed they can try to run it down mid, but again most teams won't. I would even say you can buy sightstone but most people wouldn't.

It is the worst feeling for me (happens a lot) when the other team splitpushes ridiculously. Like woo we killed 3 mid, but we got no objectives and they are at inhib already =\ go answer your lane.

I got 3 strats that worked for me this season, I've only gotten to gold 2 but considering i was bronze 5 for most of last season, and started bronze this one, i think thats good progress

  1. pick a tank, my favourites were Nautilus Maokai but riot killed them, get to level 6 then immediately run it down to bot after buying dorans rings and a corrupting pot or a bami cinder, ping your jungler to come with you, then kill the enemy bot with a 4-5 man gank at 6 minutes, take first turret and drag then tp top to save your turret. If i start getting a lane advantage, and am ahead i would usually dive mid tower and snowball the game from there, while going bot everytime tp is up, if im losing i just abandon the lane, and make a new home in the bot bushes and keep snowballing my botlane from there since no matter how garbage much of a bad game they are having, the enemy bot eventually falls so far behind it doesnt matter

  2. if my champ can split push and i get ahead, i just go split a lane, but not with the goal of taking towers but of drawing people to me, and collecting as much gold as possible, i would go to a lane after getting ward coverage, away from a major objective and just keep pressuring while running away if i see the enemy jungler, this will stall the game out long enough for the busted perfectly fair scaling of every adc in the game to occur, if im behind i just push in a side wave every time i can and start a 4v5 when someone responds, works better for me since my most played champs that can split are JarvanIV Pantheon , who can initiate pretty well, if we lose that fight then we were doomed anyway, aslong as i initiated well

  3. this only works if your mid and jungle is 1 playing a champ that can carry like Graves Viktor Vladimir Anivia , 2 is actaully good, and support the crap out of them in the mid game and use them as a primary carry instead of your adc, could work very well but it isn't very self reliant

right now top lane can't carry well because of how strong adc's and supports are, and the vulnerability of every toplaner that is melee, exceptGangplank Rumble , means that they can't actually carry fights on their own because of the insane amount of peal and life steal going around, your best hope is to snowball the game before the enemy adc comes online, despite riot shortening that time window by making ie cheaper, or split pushing and hoping the enemy makes a mistake that you can push hard enough for the w
