Do not buy DJ sona

As each new skin comes out, the previous skins remained untouched such that the next ultimate leaves the previous one in the dark. Ezreal's skin offers far less than say Udyr's (which is really just a VU), and sona's offers quite a bit. Look at legendaries and compare. Where do the older skins stand in terms of quality in comparison to the new ones?

Dont get me wrong. They are great skins and if you want to support Riot, go ahead and do it, it doesn't matter to me. I will not be supporting them for this skin. If I make an investment of ~$25.00 I hope they take it seriously.

For me, the mobility creep with champ kits, and the fighter problem (two of my big issues), along with some long-needed reworks which have fallen by the way side (considerably minor in comparison for me, with the sole exception of NEEDING a Taric update)... have all resulted in me deciding not to buy this skin. I play support and would love this on a Sona. But I cannot support decisions based off making BIG LC$ PLAYS.

Enjoy the money you get from this skin. It is truely an incredible skin worthy of profit. But it is not worthy of my money. I love this company. I love this game. I hope Riot will take note. I would not write this if I didn't care. Hope your mobility focus gets you all the success in the world, but it will not be from me if it continues like this. (Really, what is the next champion going to have a troll poll or a dash for all of their abilities, I mean really.)

Would you rather that they stagnate and never allow the skin team to try bigger and better things? To me, setting a hard cap on aesthetic upgrades would be more of a detriment to skins. Making newer ones better is a result of newer ideas and better capabilities from the creators involved.

Older skins do get tweaked, but they aren't a priority and "future upgrades" should never be considered in the cost since they are not promised.

You're obfuscating your argument by dredging up older skins. If your point is that you refuse to throw money at the company as a whole due to the direction of the gameplay design, say so. The other comments about previous skins being obsolete in comparison are irrelevant to that point. Don't be surprised when people point out that the skin devs and the gameplay devs are completely different teams and act like people have no reading comprehension. Just like focusing a target, you need to focus your argument.

Don't worry, I wasn't planning on buying it. Not for the same reasons you posted, but simply because Fearless does not want Sona in the game anymore and intentionally killed her on July 30th. Despite dying that day, she has received even more nerfs every other patch since in addition to the 23 initially.

Sona will never be playable again, unless Riot finally sets their arrogance aside, undoing the past 7 months of nerfs and firing Fearless from their company. His presence does nothing less than lose them profit and the players' trust.

is this a thread about dj sona or a QQ thread about mobility?

Wasn't going to buy it anyway. I don't feel like supporting Riot right now, what with the current balance situation, and I don't like playing Sona after her rework. I honestly feel that the only way we can really get their attention is to not buy skins for a while.
