Goosechase of feedback

I shouldn't have to go to other sites such as Dev blogs, Reddit, Twitter, et all in order to give my feedback or create a discussion which is most easily read by Riot.

"Go join in a discussion HERE instead of the boards!"

If the boards fail for whatever reason as a medium for providing easy-to-read feedback for whatever Rioter, then the burden of responsibility should most definately not by shouldered by the customer.

It's Riot's responsibily to make a suitable format in which to provide feedback, join in discussions, and read news/announcements, Q & A... all in one place. I shouldn't have to bookmark x number of sites and keep track of discussions on every one of them. I should be able to provide feedback in one place and keep track of one place.

I generally agree that this is something we'd like to improve on over time.

"Go join in a discussion HERE instead of the boards!"

I'm curious where this was said? I couldn't find it.

The one flip-side of the argument is that we generally have a "we should be where players are" philosophy - which means that we think it's good that if a player wants to tweet at us or post in reddit or whatever we'll frequently see it and respond, so it's kind of a double-edged sword.

Could you provide a link to where somebody said that?

I agree with this statement. Keep in mind, however, that dev blogs are generally hosted on the Boards.

This is what they are working on with this platform, yes. I don't think we will ever get completely away from the multi-platform discussion (Rioters are human and prefer certain discussion mediums), but I would like to see most of the important conversation focused on the Boards.

the poll

Neither option suits me, necessarily. It asks a yes or no question then offers the possibility of either answering yes or a catch-all that includes every other possible answer.

I mean, isn't that what Boards is? Official Riot posts usually make their way to Boards, and get some pretty good visibility on here. As for Reddit and Twitter, those are just separate platforms. Most official news is communicated through the main site and Boards, stuff that happens in Reddit and Twitter are usually just to gain more visibility, or just stuff through the grapevine, Rioters using Reddit and Twitter because hey, they like using Reddit and Twitter. Why should a Rioter be prohibited by company policy to use and chat on another site?
