Can there be some compensation to solo top laners in Co-op VS AI games?

I understand people wanting to try out a new champ or practice a clear route in bots before taking it into an actual game, I doubt many could argue that's a bad idea. But it shouldn't come at the cost of the top laner being stuck against two hyper-aggressive bots all laning phase, since they become quite ruthless when against less opponents in a lane. This leads to the top laner being stuck under tower being unable to engage at all. I know it leads to easy ganks for the jungler, but one player's practice shouldn't be prioritized over another's so heavily.

I'm not expecting the bots themselves to be taught to jungle, but if someone brings in smite then maybe just take one of the top laners and have them sit at base, then maybe wander into lane as a half-hearted "gank" to substitute for the enemy jungler.

Honestly this isn't a half bad idea. It's been years since I was unable to 2v1 those bots, but the only time I end up playing against bots now is when I'm showing a new player the ropes or playing protect the Leona in a custom match. That said I still remember my frustration with MF bot back when I first started, and the bots have gotten a little bit better since then, so I wouldn't wish that on any new player.

It's honestly easier to lane against real people who are legitimately new than it is to face those bots if you don't understand the basics of the game, so I'd be all for having bots go easy on someone if they are alone in lane (not mid lane) before the first tower falls.

I intentionally go top in co-op vs. AI because bots are actually brainless, and you get two kills. Once you understand how the AI works, you just get them to chase you through 2 minion waves, walk up, run back so they chase you again and they lose 3/4 of their health and you double kill.

so you want bots to be even easier to defeat?

You should be able to 1v2 intermediate bots in Co-op v AI. The're that bad.
