Does anyone maining the champion actualy enjoy playing this toxic shieldbot? playing against janna in the botlane is like playing against the new nasus in the toplane you cant realy kill him because he uses his e to farm.the same thing with janna shes just a shieldbot there to give her adc a free lanephase. can we get a rework on the most toxic support in the game?
DarkRitual5 votesOr you could actually learn to play around her. She's the literal most supportive support. Of course she performs that task better than other supports. She's also super good against the current meta of divers and the few assassins that made it through reworks on top.
She's hardly toxic, but her kit is perfect for supporting, and a good meta counter right now.

It's relentless aggression that spoils laning phase against me. I'll either need more shields than I have (poking us both), need to shield constantly to the point I go oom and/or need to use my q's to peel (which burn through mana), or I'll be low enough that I need to either save my shield for myself (or you could dive me and get a kill), or play way back in which case the enemy adc+support can probably harass my adc enough that it's a positive trade for them in spite of my shield.
Jaygo413 votesThe problem is a decently smart Janna player (or anyone Diamond 5 with 0 LP) will just shield your poke as you walk at them. It's not hard to play around poke as Janna. You don't "bait" a good Janna's shield. They either withdraw if it's too early or face tank the poke.
Janna's just not fun to play against. Let's see some engage tanks bottom.

THE RlVER KlNG2 votesI played against Janna as a Fizz and when her ADC got fed she started being a dick in allchat. Our Graves started to tell her to shut up, and she started going off about how Janna takes skill and that all pro players think so.
Made me laugh super hard. Janna is an uninteractive bitch that hard counters every melee champion in the game and takes little mechanical skill to pull off.

Tribbles Foxfolk2 votesI don't main Janna, but I understand why she's so good. (And it's the same reason I fall back to her if my healers aren't good picks.)
She's SAFE. She's very safe. Easy to play, has everything a support needs, and good at what she does. She can make some big plays with her ult, but is designed more as an anti-playmaker.
I enjoy playing her when I don't really want to play a more mechanically-demanding champion. However, I still prefer champions like Nami, Soraka, and Sona.

I can't force my adc to win lane, and in certain match ups I don't expect them to. I can however make them survive lane, and interrupting dashes is my jam.
Plus, I am unlikely to ever die post 6 or so unless the enemy team wants to burn a lot of ults/summs on me, in which my team suddenly has a rather large advantage in the following teamfight. When options are having a stellar KDA (and potentially still winning) or having a just ok KDA and winning, these are both attractive options.

dim2a1 votesWhen I support, Janna is my favorite sup to play against -- more relaxing to play than against, say, Leo, who can engage on you at any time you are anywhere close. I no longer play Janna (used back in season 5, but now with redemption/new locket, itemiztaion got boring. More poweful, but boring, I don't want to be building same items every game), but perhaps me having played her before makes it easy to play against, since I know what she can do and what to be afraid of (nothing, beyond early e-AA-w poke)

She cannot set up for kills unless either the adc or the support is low.
JVP151 votesFrankly, I have been maining her in Ranked lately. One, because I want to get some of that juicy freelo, but the second reason is because she is very, very safe. Unlike my true love, Leona, there is really no risk to her. She has anti-engage, some forms of anti-poke, plenty of CC, and abuses the hell out of Redemption and Locket. She is also pretty easy to pick up and play, as well as being an reliable pick. Is she as fun as Leona, or Thresh, or some other hard engage kill lane? No, not really. She just sits back, shields, and supports like hell. That being said, I do love when me and my Vayne ADC can turn a 2v3 into a triple kill for Vayne because of all the peel, shields, and damage.
