Thanks. Thank you very much. Thank you for making me change my runes every game. Thank you for having a 2 page max. Thank you for making us play 15 games just to get around 700-1000 be. Thank you for making essence rates way worse than they already were. Thank you for making games depend on runes instead of skill. Thank you for making us wait another 5 days or so just to level up to get 10 more be for a champ that we were so close to getting. Thank you for taking away the game we all once loved. Thanks Riot.

I think Tencent is to blame here. Since their acquisition of Riot it all went downhill, starting from 2015. Games were becoming shorter, damage creep is more and more insane to make competitive more flashy. And maybe it is just another conspiracy but look how these new metas favor CN teams who love mindless aggression all game long. It is almost as if League is being adapted to them over the last seasons.

Anyway, it's the same story as with many gaming studios. When they are young and small, they care about their products A LOT. But then a major publisher like EA or Activision comes along and twists all their new games to accomodate some bs like microtransactions and lootboxes that we see this year. It is more and more about just milking the playerbase while being careful enough to prevent exodus.

I wonder if Riot will publish the amount of newcomers and quitters since this update up to 3 months from now. I'd like to see if more people quit, if more came or if it stayed the same. This is a huge change for the game so chaos was guaranteed. But I agree, the BE earn rate is now crazily bad. And since the exp required to lvl up increases as you do it'll take even longer to buy one lousy champ. Horrible. It's clearly designed to make you buy RP.

The new runes are fucking awful. Surely they have to see this. I get they wanted to try something else, but don't just scrap something we've been using for years on end. This company blows.

Thank you Riot,

-For completely revamping 3v3 when the vast majority enjoyed the old map more. Could have just changed the base layout and made the jungle camps not random, but screw nice things.

-For removing Dominion, my favorite game mode.

-For the rotating queue, which doesn't actually rotate.

-For always throwing immobile melee champs under the bus, often in some attempt to make the game more flashy and exciting.

I will admit the new rune system has potential, but currently it accomodates carries/DPS far more than any other class of champions.

Voice your concerns. Personally I like the change in Pace and can't wait to see what they do with the system as far as balance and changes. However since it is still preseason and basically day number 2, they're still going to be some Kinks to work out.

Where the hell are people getting this "15 games for one level" bs, I literally just played a game and got 1285 XP for it. 35 min game. Even without the first win of the day that would be about 700 xp. Making for 1/4th of the way to level up. That's mean just 4 of those similar style games for a level. Seriously where the fuck are people getting "15 games to level" from?

6300 IP/BE for a rune page, same as before

Go ahead and complain about the nerfed gains because thats true but if you only had 2 rune pages before you were playing half a champion, you get access to all of your power on the new Runes even if you chose not to invest in pages

Truth be told, I think this is where Riot has gotten confused, for some reason. You want a true test of skill, make every marksman carbon copies of one another. Then you can duke it out for the "skill match" of the century.

Carbon-copy carries are exactly what the newest runes accomplish. Everyone finds the optimal keystone for their lane, and champion uniqueness gets dropped for mirror play and "skill". Now, not even (old) Runes can save you from that.

I just made 2 rune pages that work for any role, nothing specifically.

But I can see why you're frustrated. If I played more than just mages and tanks I might be in the same situation.

However it's still preseason. Lets save the lamenting of League until after they've had a chance to fix everything. :)

But if they leave the game in this state all year then there's a problem xD

You get to change your runes in champion select and they give you extra time to do so and they gave you preset pages (that I hate because I have my own).

Just wanna put this out there, the whole reason riot changed the rune system was because we all complained how litte impact it had on the game. Now it actually has some impact. I do think they are a little too strong at the moment but its preseason, its like PBE went live. this is when they balance this shit out. so with a little balancing These runes will actually make a decent impact. But seriously give me more BE wtf rito.

You bronze players will complain about anything and everything about the reason youre stuck in your elo. Ranked is about skill, heck I have played with the new runes with a trash runepage and still dominated. You know why? Because i know how to play the game, and i dont blame my team mates for me being stuck in my elo. Thats why I win more, because I dont blame autofill, i dont blame my team, I dont blame smurfs, I dont blame the adc/ardent censor meta, I dont blame anything but myself for being in my elo. And if you did the same, then maybe youd rank up too.

I agree with you on this one. I just won 11 games in a row, getting max Exp from all of them due to the win bonus, then I also got the 500 bonus xp from the mission, and I just ranked up. Just to get 1200 BE with a Kalista! Thats the best champ you can get is a 6300 champ, and it only sold for 1200 BE, thats legit terrible. Luckily for me, im a Jayce, Kayle and Xerath main so I can play either of them without having to worry about BE for champs.

Theres no point in really making more than 2 runes pages. I only keep 1 because I know what to use on champs. Just go practice in practice mode all the runes, then youll know what to use. If you play a new champ every game, then you should be ready to make a new runepage. Thats the cost of playing tons of different champs.

Its still the same game, the only thing that changed were some runes. Which you will all figure out how to use eventually. Just like the last time they did Rune/Keystone addons.
